I had problems running ED in the past also, but I upgraded my machine recently so thought I'd throw Odyssey at it to put it through it's paces. After the last patch, it's handling things very smoothly and I'm having a blast sneaking around the settlements belonging to my enemy faction, stealing their power regulators and anything else not bolted down. It's Thief Simulator in a space-suit!

Hello Everyone,
Never really posted an introduction before. A few of us recently formed a group, Inara has been invaluable in this regard. Look forward to playing the game with anyone thats interested in cooperative combat, mining, ground excursions etc.

I'd recommend watching some of this: DrewWagar

"Drew is the author of the Elite Dangerous books "Reclamation" and "Premonition". He's played all four "Elite" games starting with the original by David Braben and Ian Bell back in 1984, followed by Frontier Elite 2 in 1993, and Frontier First Encounters in 1995. As such, he's got a wealth of lore knowledge about the game. "

Just wanted to show a brief sign of life...
Last time I played Elite has been a while. There have been some changes since then (still not sure about walking around on the surface of planets, but SRVs are definitely fun)...

If you haven't already, I'd hold off on purchasing the Odyssey expansion until it's (relatively) fixed.
