Elite: General talk

I tend to prefer general-purpose ships, & since I'm not the combat type, & often times far out away, like to have something which although not specialized for a particular purpose, but reasonably able to take advantage of 'situations of opportunity', the Anaconda is 1 of them.

On my early career I thought I will swap modules, but then I wanted to have variety... And here I am with few dozens of purposed build ships.

EpisparhIt is OK for light PvE... I am not sure it can survive encounter of FDL + 2-3 Vultures given in wing assassination missions.
... But with so low hull and literally no MRP you may get in trouble and definitely it would be blown if you encounter a player with reverb torps.
You had similar concerns about my Courier.

Igneel PrimeGiven your budget (or what remains of it) I would try getting a couple different ships for different tasks. Multi-purpose doesn't mean multi-tasking.
The problem with large fleets is that the ships are never where you need them. Fleet carriers have solved that problem, and that's why I want one ASAP.
The Courier is still my favorite ship, but it can't haul much, and while PvE combat is more fun in a Courier, it's not exactly efficient. The Anaconda however I can simply park in a hazRES and wait for the bounty vouchers to pile up. Not much interaction necessary.

Igneel Primeif your goal is to make money fast for that carrier I'd still make some changes to that Conda. Gear it far more towards combat. Like this
I was thinking about putting a class 4 PA on the remaining hardpoint, with plasma slug mod, just for fun. I have a general dislike for weapons that use ammo other than fuel.
Efficient pulse is a bad idea for a slow ship IMHO because targets spend most of the time out of optimal range, and a Conda is bad at chasing them. Long range has lower DPS but maintains it over much larger distances. And turrets have better damage per energy than gimbals. Currently I can fire all 7 turrets nonstop with just 3 pips. All I need to do is select targets and occasionally turn the ship for optimal coverage. Even wings of three ships attacking simultaneously hardly manage to darken the first shield ring before getting destroyed. It's ridiculously easy. And no one cares how that combat rank was achieved. If I wanted a challenge, I'd use the Courier instead.

Those are still valid arguments... And you proved my point with this:

A specialized courier is still more effective in specific role than one builded as Jack of all trades.
At one point every CMDR decides what are own's final goals. And usually the most effective path is to use most effective ship(this is subjective) for each activity you will need.
I see that you want to reach triple Elite. The most effective way to get trade rank is mining and the most effective way to combat rank is effective PvE build. You either plan it or just enjoy doing stuff. Eventually you will achieve your goals either way.
For building large fleet you need 2 things - credits and engineering materials. Both are very easy to acquire if you have proper assets and knowledge.
P. S. I played till recently without FC with 40-50 ships. It's easily achieved. You park the assets next to the location of their activities and travel between them with what you enjoy.
Example: I do not need to move my FC to Colonia. I can just jump there with my Anaconda for 2-3 hours and use my local fleet there for every activity I might want to do.

That size 4 slot on the Conda is highly optional so up to you. just keep in mind it's gonna be difficult to hit smaller targets with a PA especially NPCs as they often randomly change direction making the lead indicator rather useless most of the time. The multi cannon is more there for some extra damage through the damage type and corrosive effect but as I said highly optional. could use a beam laser too if you want.
Efficient vs long range also highly debatable. Your point is valid but you don't wanna run out of distributor either. Gimballed vs turreted is not so much about DPE but simply DPS. Fact is high to low damage goes fixed > gimballed > turreted. Whether or not you really want to make that trade is up to you but I highly recommend gimballed weapons on the Anaconda. Coming back to the ammo question here as well. Depending how long you actually spend in a site you can even go with multi cannons (maybe with ammo cap for the 4k rounds) and put incendiary experimental on them which means you also do high damage to shields. If you don't spend long enough in the site anyway to have to rearm that would be the most viable option.
But hey it's up to you. If you don't want advice and think you're comfortable where you are I'm not gonna judge

EpisparhThose are still valid arguments... And you proved my point with this:
I mean you were concerned about the Courier being all shields and no hull. Same with the Conda.
Reverb torps are so rare, they're just not worth sacrificing cargo space for. And it takes more than one hit to take down a class 7 shield generator anyway. I'll have enough time to wake out.

Unless you meet Zentzib who recently showed a video about a clog in which he uses 3 torpedo launchers.
I think reverb torps are pretty common among gankers. A surprise attacks from torps in the rings are very common and you need to clear the ring mass lock before engaging FSD
... Anaconda is the slowest ship from the big 3.

Advice is always welcome. Just saying that I thought about the weapons choice already.
