Huh it's almost like cutting off a huge chunk of their player base was a bad idea. That combined with the ridiculous Thargoid "war" and lack of other relevant content since the failure of odyssey they have been on a down hill spiral. With last ditch efforts to bail out a sinking ship

Btw, Odyssey's recent reviews are "mostly positive." I wonder if that's related to the Starfield launch. NMS also got a mysterious player boost recently.

Odyssey has been optimized a lot recently. Maybe Frontier should give the console port another try.

Optimization is not the issue I have with odyssey. The issue I have with it is they tried to make an FPS and they clearly had no idea what they were doing. There are a ton of balance issues with the game. Foot soldiers can over power a fully engineered G5 prismatic cutter. They are nearly in vulnerable to ship damage, SRV are a wet noodle versus them. The weapons fire unreasonably slow(seriously a visible sniper shot? What the heck?) Suit engineering makes no sense, like oh you upgraded this armor and don't like the enhancement lol cool buy a new one and start over because you are stuck with that upgrade forever. It's seriously like the devs took everything they learned since 2014 and threw it all away and said let's just make something. The concept of odyssey is fantastic but the actual implementation of it is subpar

MeowersI'm... not exactly feeling fond towards Chinese companies and their major videogame-building guidelines.
Depends on the company, for example Mihoyo with Genshin Impact is providing the best live service game care I've ever seen. Constantly pushing new content into the game with a very reasonable monetization model. If every company will care about their live service games like them, it will certainly make such games much better name.
