It's the R-rated trailer for the upcoming new Mortal Kombat movie. It looks promising and even has fatalities now...

It looks very promising.

I cringed so hard at "get over here", that I almost had an aneurism.

The issue stands in financial situation within the households, too. I was surprised when I realized my connection is something out of "typical Polish village away from the city".

Truth is, I am on the phone cable as the only possibility. Getting fiber is next to impossible, given it would require equivalence of thousands of dollars due to involving permissions from the city, the direct neighbors, the nearby blocks and its management - not to mention costs of underground mapping and actual operations, as well as fees towards the ISP that would be twice or thrice more expensive per month than what we have now.

Sure, I could take radio internet but that would be working as wobbly given the fact how much electronic interference happens around given existence of aforementioned blocks that aren't any farther than literally ten steps from my front door. :/

Add up the fact the entire place is also flooded with additional activity given the pandemic, influencing both what I have on my telephone cable (drop from 12 Mbps to unstable 7-10 Mbps, sometimes dropping as low as 3 Mbps), as well as radio internet I considered as the option. Likely it hasn't been designed for such strains. Yet I am surprised that the internet works in here at all.

Most of that pressure goes from Netflix and their series in 4k as they take a lot of bandwidth, whereas games taken no less than 300-400 MB per day (not counting downloading the games and their patches here), at least according to my router's data.

You're doing well in comparison to my area. The only available connection I have is DSL via phone line, without paying a mint for cable.

DSL speeds are advertised @ 2.5mbs, & that's under ideal circumstances. Ofc, with so many people staying at home, that number is a dream.

That figure is the 'high-speed option'.

Fiber Optic has been talked about for years but will remain in the indefinite future ["Soon"] in my area.

I'm clueless about internet speeds. My house runs on gigabit speeds, is that good? (I mean I know it's good, but like how good is it, when compared to what you guys have been talking about?)

Dude, you know gigabit is good. Probably the best you can get for a residential connection (at least here).

One Gigabit would give you a downstream of 125 Megabyte per second. That is pretty good.

Gone are the days where I have to start a game download before I go to work so I can play when I get home... They now download in less than an hour. Good times.

To put it into perspective. Most patches you download instantly, A good number of games you download in under a minute and Elite you get in a bit over 2.5 minutes. Things that take a lot of people half an hour to download you finish in the time it takes you to get a drink and take a shit. Yeah. It's pretty damn good
