Have you ever used Google to look up images visually similar to your Holo-Me? The results may surprise you.

In case you've never done this before, here's how:

  1. Go to your Inara profile page, right click your Holo-Me photo and choose "Copy image URL" or "Copy link to image" etc.
  2. Go to https://images.google.com/, click the camera symbol on the right of the search bar and paste the URL, then click "Search by image".

Most Holo-Mes seem to bring up other game characters. I wonder if the AI pays more attention to lighting than to facial features when judging similarity.

Confirmed. The follow-ups aren't bad either!

Also interesting are the auto-generated search terms. Yours is "cg artwork". The funniest I've seen so far was "hair loss" on one of the male Holo-Mes.

I'm getting no CG or illustrations at all. Just random photos of Asians.

Mine was interpreted as "Gentleman" and returned lots of pictures of bald guys with beards and glasses... Nothing too interesting.

Lifehack if you want to boil an egg in the microwave: put the contents of the egg into a cup or glass first.

Nah, I just wanted to know if my filter bubble gives me different results.

In LordPsyman's case it did, btw. The auto-generated search term was just "man", and one of the images was Walter White from "Breaking Bad".
