Schooling? Sounds lame. School is lame.




Well, it's less of a school and more of a university That just makes the math harder though



Yup! University math is terrible. Switching my major from mechanical to software engineering was the best decision I ever made, just from the math class prospect alone. Lol. Stats, algebra, and a handful of calc classes is much easier to swallow than say... fkn thermodynamics. Screw it, just quit uni. It's overrated.

Certifications hold more weight!


And here I am for CS having to do Higher Mathematics 1 - 4 :I

I know the math requirement is what drove me out of Electrical Engineering in college. They were like, "Calc 3?" and I was like, "No thank you, sir"



LOL. What did you wind up doing if I might ask? If I would've chosen a CS degree instead, it would've been even less math.


My degree is in Technical Communications focusing on Interactive Media (basically web design) with a minor in CIS. I managed a database for about a decade, so I got a lot more use out of the CIS minor for sure. I work in procurement now, which is almost entirely new except I buy IT systems, so the CIS is still in use.

It's been a weird journey, and I feel like I should have just gone full CIS instead.
