Moving to NMS, too.

Iwao KishiroIt's been fun run, guys but since console edition is officially dead - I'm out. I have more important expenses than an expensive gaming PC.
Moving to NMS, too.
Yeah, sucks...I was working toward carrier (just need enough to support) but they wont transition so it takes out a major driver of my gameplay. I will switch at some point but kinda dulls the glow for the moment. Not to mention a whole new learning curve.

As you can transfer all your in game credit you could still work towards your Carrier. Not only will you have the credits for a Carrier in console but also in PC (as long as you don't buy until you have transferred). Theoretically, because they are cross platform assets, I wonder if that would be a two-fer on Fleet Carriers for Console Cmdrs who make the switch?

You're lucky I don't ED on PC or I would make you go woo 1v1. Type 10 vs Type 10 with max cargo.

I'd install an XBox emulator, if there was one, just to have an unengineered Hauler duel. You may not load it with cargo, it will be full of biowaste after the fight.

I think you may be right. According to D2EA, best course would be to bang away at credits and buy carrier in PC, then fill my T9 with a valuable cargo and buy/sell shell game with PC fleet carrier. Allows all credits to transfer and then transfer XB credits to PC commander. So good chance at a 2fer!

SakashiroThe reluctance of console players to start from scratch suggests that the game is not really fun to play.I doubt it. Game is fun to play, at least for me, but I don't want to start from the beginning, no matter how good (or not) I play. To make this game actually fun, you have to spend some time on grind, I'm past it now, but I don't want to repeat it because of FDev's dumbness, not my own will.

It wasn't so much as fun as it was trying to chase getting that next ship, the next engineering, that next rank, that next.. something. I don't know how to explain it, but it felt like almost a job. After about the 50-100 hour mark, you tell yourself that you can't stop because the game has sucked all this fucking time out of you and to stop would be a waste of what you put in. The most fun I had in ED was mining, because I felt like I was actually being rewarded for my time. Exploration is a close second, but what am I really exploring when every system in the game is nearly a carbon copy of the one before it?
Console players getting the short end of the stick regardless, because whenever they release this new transfer system, they will already be more than a year behind everyone else as far as Odyssey is concerned.

personal i think it takes still to much time to collect some special materials.. it´s a plague. some carriers at colonia, where i am now, was very helpfully by selling some rare materials big thanks to the commanders for that !
ps: grinding and upgrading takes toooo much time but when your done with it, your done.. it becomes sometimes a need.. than other things become interesting and the gameplay makes more and more fun.. damm grinding, mining im enjoying too, sometimes
would be nice if there where a option to sell equipment stuff to other players in the future. so far only via pioner support can be traded from player to player.. or you can just drop some items via the bagback option to some players in range (wheel menu). beware, you get no cash for the dropped items only the persons will like your more

I like to play the game, not go to work for 8 hrs a day to make a living. The "grind" is called that because it can be mind-numbing, tedious and a pain in the ... neck. I dont mind (too much anyway) putting in the intial work, but I doubt very many people would enjoy it again. IMHO

Exactly this. After all the exploration done by so many players over the years, it seems that all this galaxy has been able to crank out is humans, thargoids and guardians. What's it been doing with its time? When was the last time something truly new was discovered? Oh, that's right... space plants.
