Pff, can't jump to Kakmbutan Hm, targeting and jumping works just FC vendors are restricted for some reason.

Argetlan7, I have landed on Achenar 4 A without any issues. The engineering base looks unfinished though - it is alpha.

Last edit - I have a bookmark of my FC in Alcor.

So, is it possible to book an Apex flight to a carrier? I guess not.

No , plotting route is impossible... I've been to Achenar, Shinrarta Dezhra and some other systems outside of playable bubble but this is because I target systems directly and jump to them with FSD injections. I believe the bookmark of my FC failed down to its FC vendor once the asset was removed/not included.

So fleet carriers are basically stuck in pre-Odyssey gameplay. No Apex, no Vista Genomics, no suit engineering, no material trading, none of the things we'll be able to do on stations while on foot.

Who knows. We are testing some odd branch. The engineering base of Tiana Fortune was half build, floating in the air. The stations outside of the playable bubble have disembark option disabled. I really wander what is this compatibility we are trying to test.

I think this was another marketing stunt AKA let the white mice flood the social media with on-foot screenshot with ships.

On a side note - the info icons after disembarking on planets are cool. There are also markers for previously scanned biological. I am not sure if this was available on foot before but now you can target stuff from contacts and they are nicely presented on the helmet visor.

I just wonder should I try to reach Thargoid interaction space to check how the murder flowers look like.

I heard there's actually something improved: We're no longer chained to our "active" ships. It's now possible to apex from A to B and access ships stored at the destination, without transferring the "active" ship first.

I bet they're hiding all the new xeno stuff for now. There'll be on-foot gameplay related to Guardians and Goids for sure.

Based on what I have seen, I don't regret buying into the alpha, or buying odyssey, even if the performance optimizations fall short, but I have a powerful machine. As we're in a severe chip shortage, I hope they optimize for everyone else's sake.

I don't regret buying the DLC either. I like the new gameplay options. But holy crap, the alpha is so full of bugs, glitches, and performance issues... and it's been getting worse with each phase, not better. Now we're only 20 days away from release. What we're looking at here is the possibility that ED will be almost unplayable for weeks, and not just for buyers of the Odyssey DLC but for everyone, since client 4.0 will be rolled out to everyone.

It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. It may not go down as a disaster of CDPR proportions, but a disaster nonetheless.

Well i couldnt care less about bugs or glitches if they are not game breaking but PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FDEV RELEASE THE DLC WITH ACCEPTABLE PERFORMANCE.

I mean, I'm down to only 2 pc games in my entire library that are any good. I've pretty much accepted that PC gaming will die for me either this year or next. lol. They (companies) keep adopting bad practices and I can't really justify buying many products anymore.

Fallout 4, Cyberpunk 2077, Conan Exiles, Fallout 4, Space Engineers, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, Empyrion Galactic Survival, No Man's Sky.

Did I mention Fallout 4 already? Ohhh, I love that game so much! The mechanics, the look, the music, even the story. I've spent thousands of hours in the wasteland. And I was sooo disappointed about Fallout 76.

This alpha thing is very odd. It looks like with each phase we are seeing different branches and the fixes in previous phase do not carry over next one ( a recepie for disaster in final product, IMO)

I take all this as chance to test some of my ship ideas and get familiar with FPS game mechanics, something I haven't played for awhile although warships is categorized as FPS

Anyway, the plan for tonight is FGS 5 dumbfire missile & 2fixed beams vs settlement.

I took my Mamba to a RES last night. It worked, but the framerate was only around 50 fps for me (on ultra), and there was occasional stutter. Space is still too dark, and the stars keep twinkling. Also I dislike the anti-aliasing of the new renderer. Too many flickering pixel stairs in the cockpit.

So much to fix, so little time...
