They fixed SQUAT. This "DLC" seems exactly like the Alpha!!!

Finished the training mission but can't get into the main game. Orange Sidewinders everywhere.

Even playing it on Geforce Now doesn't get 60 FPS on a planet's surface.
I'm still really enjoying it. ... when I can play.

Honestly what was the point of shutting the servers down for maintenance and testing for 12 hours if they can't even get them to work? Amazing.

I played Alpha and it stuttered horribly so reduced graphic settings to not fun to play with. But now have realized that it is the processor not keeping up. When I bought the PC i specified to be able to upgrade, it feels like the time to do so.



Only reason the FPS was HORRIFIC in Alpha was because they never turned on occlusion and EVERYTHING was rendered. I mean EVERYTHING even if you weren't looking at it. Alpha was a torture test.


My alpha experience:

Landed on planet. 60 fps. Yay!
Disembarked. 45 fps. Wtf?

What we're getting today won't be that bad. And what we'll get in autumn will be even better, I'm sure.


In 4K here:
In ship in 'space' FPS 100+ (slight drop to Horizons)
Station in ship 60+ (depends on station but not lower)
Disembark on foot in hangar 60-
In 'social area' 45+

So mostly better than alpha (not hard!) but poorly optimised currently.

(I promised you a 'no sugar' review)

Despite the big performance issues, i'm very happy to be back to the game and this awesome community
However my gpu might cook really bad in certain points (gtx 1080).

Anyone else stuck with the standard boring black Remlok suit again? I'm missing my white one was well as my jacket, pants and boots... can't even change the color of the eagles on my shoulders
