Huh... seems like they are unable to fix those mic-issues... Seems like FDev's Sound-team can fail at something after all

I think the majority would agree that there would've been no harm for this game cooking 4-6 more months.

I mean.. from Alpha to release in about a month's time, correct?

So lets acess the situation shall we? Performance: "Oh yeah we totally have some things we didnt do and 100% will be at release, dont worry Odyssey will run on the same specs as Horizons." KEK, Combat: "Oh we are maintaining the Plasma weapons because we need to 'rebalance' them... yeah." KEK, Exploration: Oh they just removed the sampler minigame. Huh. KEK. And so on.

I think Odyssey would have been great AND finished faster if they had just added the legs. No fancy new renderer, no new UI, just legs.

Daiyousei7I went back to horizons. I'm probably only gonna boot up odyssey when I specifically want to try out something new. It's in too rough of a state atm.


I bought Odyssey on steam but when I click to play, Horizons is the only thing that loads.

SakashiroThreads on the Frontier forum have been started comparing Odyssey to Horizons. People are beginning to realize that Odyssey, despite its frame rate issues, is in fact a graphical downgrade. The new planets look worse rather than better, the lighting looks worse, the special effects look worse. And the previous excuse ("It's an old build from a test branch!") no longer works.
