Perhaps your ship is too large.
flying medium or small ships and still getting it randomly.
Medium can still be too large as some settlements have only Small pads. Usually the reason for declining docking is displayed in com panel (upper left corner)
It should actually tell you the reason for docking request denial in the Comms window I think. Also, settlements in a CZ state have their docks disabled for its duration.

It is brutal! For reference Dominator suit grade 5 have Shield value of 33.8.
I will hold now for mods . Need to decide first.

For now I am thinking of following:
- Upgrades: Increased range, audio masking, faster reload.
- Building Manticore Executor temple.

Ammo capacity is suit mod, the weapon mod is increase magazine size. Honestly, 30 rounds equals 10-15 dead targets. Magazine size is also under consideration especially if it doubles the magazine AKA less reloading.
But since mods cannot be removed once applied I will wait for now.

Yeah I meant the magazine size. Out of interest, if you reload half a clip what happens to the unspent ammo? Are they lost or is the clip counter just a sub-set of the full ammo so it effectively merges all your half-used clips.

This is a hint to super power supporters how they can show their hate. For everyone else, just pick independent factions

Aunty SledgeI have a burning hatred for games that try to be "realistic" with mags and then don't provide a merge option.
It is a common design. You bring N amount of magazines during a fight. In reality you try to switch magazines as faster you can and collect them later when the things settle.
Have you ever loaded a magazine of a weapon? And then how you actually imagine extracting 1/3th of the plasma in one magazine to add it to another one?
It is natural way of thinking, this is why all games follow that approach.
Not sure why this is problem for you. Free unlimited ammo crates are literally everywhere.

I ran into that problem during the training mission. I'm used to the reload mechanics of Fallout 4, so I reloaded after each kill. I ran out of ammo towards the end and had to punch the last guy to death, lol.

Not all of them. Fallout 4 is actually mixed: Ballistic weapons reload rounds, so you never lose anything, but laser weapons reload fusion cells, so you waste shots if you reload too early.
