SakashiroFallout 4, Cyberpunk 2077, Conan Exiles, Fallout 4, Space Engineers, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, Empyrion Galactic Survival, No Man's Sky.
Did I mention Fallout 4 already? Ohhh, I love that game so much! The mechanics, the look, the music, even the story. I've spent thousands of hours in the wasteland. And I was sooo disappointed about Fallout 76.
I am going to hazard a guess that you love fallout 4.....
EpisparhThis alpha thing is very odd. It looks like with each phase we are seeing different branches and the fixes in previous phase do not carry over next one ( a recepie for disaster in final product, IMO)
I take all this as chance to test some of my ship ideas and get familiar with FPS game mechanics, something I haven't played for awhile although warships is categorized as FPS
Anyway, the plan for tonight is FGS 5 dumbfire missile & 2fixed beams vs settlement.
I use a FDS with 4 dumb fires and a type 3 beam, worked well against the turrets, dont forget your point defences.
Have you noticed we cant interact with alarm panels and the like anymore ?

Those anti-personel turrets are deadly - arc-cutter + overload to disable them. Stay away from their firing arcs even at max range.

Episparh... I've been to Achenar, Shinrarta Dezhra and some other systems outside of playable bubble but this is because I target systems directly and jump to them with FSD injections..
That’s weird, I tried this last night. I targeted a system outside the 50Ly bubble and tried to jump but got a message on my HUD to the effect that it was unavailable during Alpha. The System targeted was about 65Ly from Nervi.
Am I missing something here?

Was it a FC vendor? Those are truly disabled but I had no problem manually jumping to any system in range of my jumponium boosted FSD.
But there was patch yesterday, it might be "fixed".

Ryno1154some talk of the full release containing some kind of FC station tec , somthing like a lobby as a surprise on release , but thats pure conjecture of course
I doubt it. Frontier said no social hubs on carrierd, period.

Entirely possible, I had to apply the patch before playing last night. Damn!

You can now buy a FC.

When I did an alpha release, it wasn't reflective of the final product either. We would branch off of the main branch for the alpha and do our work and that could take anywhere from days to up to 2 weeks, before we would then reintegrate it. It depended heavily on the changes though. We tried to keep things modular and to not hit other peoples code while they were actively working on it. If multiple devs needed to hit the same area, we partnered up to tackle our parts together.
So if we were crowd testing a set of features, each feature lived in its own branch which would be deployed and this branch often didn't contain anything else from the main alpha branch until it was reintegrated after testing. The internal testers handled the testing of the main alpha branch. Crowd testing was more for breaking specific features in unusual ways, since not all user behaviors are easily replicated by dedicated QA.
Also, with networked components, there are some things that can only be tested by hitting it with a lot of people that are spread all over the world.

Meanwhile, FGS with 5 dumbfire missiles and 2 fixed beams is extreme fun. This is what I would expect from ship vs humans
Few explosions and when the military personnel is gone, equip your Maverick suit and finish workers, scientist, administrators and so on. It feels like you are John Wick.
Finally I found a purpose for my FGS.

And btw, the FC price in alpha is lowered from 5bil to 10mil. It suck to be me buying one for 5bil
Anyway, if you do not own fleet carrier on live server now you can try it with all the bugs

I just bought one. And now I've changed my mind about them. As long as they're stuck in Horizons gameplay, their appeal is strongly diminished.

Ah, you are one of those who think that the FC need to be dragged to every location with you?
