KurakilSo... what shade of blue should I be looking for on the DSS? I can't seem to make any sense out of it or establish a pattern. Sometimes it seems to be lighter blue/aqua and other times darker blue. And yes I select a filter and not "all".

Just blue. The darker areas are due to terrain underneath. Ie. mountains and the like.

Another chunky set of patch notes!
Good to see

At least they make an effort to fix it.

The good part is that after this patch I do not think immediately "How can they break it even further?" as I did with path 1 and patch 2.

Citation please. I see homogenous areas with shading changes and in my experience the lighter the shade the more likely you are to find what you're looking for.

I think you are being fooled by the fact that the underlying terrain affects the presence of the flora. Ie: it's not the height of the mountain that alters the shade of blue, but rather the existence of the mountain prevents bacteria from spawning there (which lowers it's concentration in this specific case example).

I just have not seen a consistent correlation between the colors and what you can actually find within those areas. It seems completely dissociated. For example, I found bacteria in the flat areas and Osseus in the mountain tops, but according to the DSS with the corresponding filters applied, there was nothing to indicate I would find either of those there more than anywhere else.

Also the first planet I did plant scanning on, as I finished up each type of plant, one color of blue would disappear. Then I just went to wherever there was still blue for the next one. When I was finished, there was no blue at all. That has not happened since.

I agree, there is definitely a discrepancy with what the heatmap displays and where the flora actually are. I have a forum post about this. ;tldr I think the heatmap is displaying the seed probability but is not filtering for allowed terrain.

It's a Venn diagram that is showing only one variable and not the combination of the 2.

They can't afford me. Their QA Lead makes 25% of my base starting rate. Guess that's why it's all so broken.

Fair enough. And looks like their dev team... isn't top tier as well.

Just out of curiosity, can you give me a link to highest severity one of those 19?

I don't have it entered. It's a tie between two specific bugs:

1. A mission sends you to salvage something, but it's on a planet that can't be disembarked on whether you're on the light or dark side, yet enemy npc's are fine.

2. Cancelling said mission gives you a fine which shows up in the UI's except for the UI to pay it. Relogging while on foot allows you to pay it, but entering your ship causes it to show again and puts you in anonymous access. Relogging again causes it to disappear. During the entire ordeal, you don't show as wanted in the lower right of the ship UI, but crime and punishment icons show in the UI for navigation as normal.

Those are not new At least not for me and I am sure they are recorded in their messy bug tracker.

I have no idea, still navigating it. The issue tracker is slow and it frankly sucks.

My main issue is that all the issues/bugs there are filled by players and they do not follow a common domain specific language, hence making it pure mess.
