Yes it just stays black if I do nothing. Never had this problem before... or at least not often enough to remember it.

It happens to me now and then and like you say, Task Manager is needed to stop it, but I can't tell you what causes it.
I have similar issues with other games that use a launcher with Red Dead Redemption being the exception. Never have a problem with that beast. I usually have a good few tabs open, INARA YouTube, and maybe Netflix. ED Market Connector is running too.
A friend of mine that knows about such things tells me I should run the game in a borderless window to make it more Alt-Tab friendly. Maybe that would help?

KurakilAm I the only one who has to force-quit EDO to get it to exit the game? I have to go to Task Manager every time or it just stays a blank screen.
Happens to me all the time, used to happen in Horizons too.

This whole dlc just has me wondering what they were thinking. My bug list is massive. I could write a book on all the things that are messed up but I don't want to do their work for them and they wouldn't read it anyway.

It's also really annoying that you lose your markers every time you get into your SRV. Talk about bolt-on functionality...

Daiyousei7After forcing myself to play Odyssey only for the last week, I went back to Horizons. Horizons feels like an upgrade. Aesthetically it's better, it runs perfectly, the UI makes sense, way less clicking to do things, responsive design. I really don't see how they're going to fix Odyssey at this point. If they merge that crap with Horizons I really think it will be the thing that causes me to delete my account entirely.
There are no signals from frontier that they will scrap the new UI. On a contrary, there is effort to adjust the new one which just emphasis on the fact that new design is BS.
