SakashiroCouldn't get into the game yet, but I made it into the main menu (yay!) and found that they added a horrible sharpen filter to the image. For comparison (please view in fullscreen):
As if the jaggies due to lack of anti-aliasing weren't bad enough yet, this change dials them up to eleven. Which to me is yet another confirmation that the people in charge of the new renderer have no clue what they're doing.
You can turn the sharpening off in the settings (move the slider down or turn the upscale to Normal). Not sure why it's being sharpened by default even when no upscaling used, though (it's not bad to have it as an option, but as a default setting it looks odd).

Is that to do with this?
Odyssey Update 5 Patchnotes
- AMD FidelityFX CAS has now been integrated, and can be adjusted on a slider in the quality settings menu.
- An upscaling option that allows the Player to switch between FidelityFX and Normal has been added into settings.

SakashiroI'm running the High preset. I'll delete the graphics settings file and let ED create one from scratch. Let's see if the problem persists.
It does. Even dialing that CAS effect all the way down has only a subtle impact, if any.

p.s. Maybe I even have a chance to join the happy grind after I complete my 'top on to do list' space thing now.
(of course when everyone interested has finished a long time ago, mwahahaha, my luck, I love it)
