KurakilI take it the Restore/Reactivation missions are still super bugged. I have only even seen 1 in... quite some time.

Amata LireinWell then, managed to get a hold of Arthur during the current stream and asked him about the restoration missions and why they are so rare right now. He confirmed that it's not working as intended right now and they are investigating.
Morgan JamesAre Apex shuttles and Frontline dropships instanced?
I'm assuming they are, as there would be no means of defence for the player passenger if they were attacked?

They are instancing only in normal space AKA around departure and arrival location. A player would not see Apex or dropship in SC but you can see them arriving and departuring from station.
Rho TefnutetThat's the problem with gaming industry in the end: shareholders. They want money and don't really care if products shall meet the players' requirements or not. They likely don't even have idea what it is to play video games in the first place. That pretty much mirrors the heads of hospitals and schools nowadays many of whom have zero idea about - respectively - medicine or schooling. If something like that happens in two most crucial branches, then it will happen in something as gaming.
The herd will buy the games anyway. I mean, remember Blizzard and Blitzchung drama? That went silent and now literally nobody cares.
SakashiroI think the reason why everyone is blaming the shareholders is because no one wants to blame the guy in charge, David Braben, because for many people he appears to be some sort of video game Steve Jobs from the 1980s. Sadly it has been shown again and again that even the most passionate innovators burn out at some point, and I think that's what we're witnessing here.
SakashiroThe absence of persistent ships makes the implementation of ship interiors truly challenging, especially if it involves crew members sharing a ship. So far ED has only kludgy workarounds such as "physical multi-crew", and even those fail to work properly most of the time.
