Burstar or somethingThe biggest issue with FDev getting bought out IMO is that 'honouring the lifetime upgrades from backers etc' will probably not be in the sales contract.



My concern would be that if FDev got bought out, the acquiring company might shut down ED and just focus on other FDev titles.


Then i guess we learn to play star citizen.

Frontier do not have so many titles. I think they have 3-4 (including ED).

The studio has a finger or two in big IP's like Jurrasic World and recently the Warhammer Age of Sigmar stuff. Frontier Developments PLC stock also performs really well on the market.

I'd say they were quite an appealing studio to snap up.

It's definitely not. They have a licence to make the game but it may be transferrable.

As I said, they have a finger in that pie - they don't own the IP but have a licence to make a game in that IP - that means, at the very least, good salesmen work there

It's all part of the same software location, so it needs to go where your Horizon software is. No reason why that can't be an external drive, but SSD is a lot better then HDD.

So in theory I could uninstall Horizons, install it on an external SSD, and then add Ody to it?
