This is why I have always called bullshit on the no artificial gravity in Elite Dangerous. A fleet carrier doesn't have the mass to generate any sort of gravity field, yet there will be bars on them with bartenders serving drinks in open glasses? Of course, that is minor to the idea of anyone being able to function or live on a moon base with gravity above 1.35 g. Been to several bases with a gravity of over 2.5g, and people are walking around like it's no big deal. Gravity deck plating is the only thing that can explain how that could be a possibility.

There was a video about landing and even driving around in an SRV on the surface of 45.3G world.

Burstar or something Thing is, you know what this means right? Everyone's ass has metal plates surgically installed so you can be magnetically locked to the chairs when seated.

I think the chairs use an anchor mechanism

Your arse should be made of metal to withstand all the grind.

One could call BS on nearly everything in the game if one was so inclined. Just look in any ED related forum.

That's the thing, no drinks are being served. Just decorative glasses filled with jelly so you feel like you are in a bar but no liquids are being served

Imagine:
Redneck Rampage meets Elite
You have to keep your pilot drunk enough to fly and fight well!

You gotta be careful what logical threads you start pulling on in this game, or people might realize this isn't real.

My personal collection of pet peeves includes a lot of weird corner cases. A couple of my faves:
- Off-station, I can only restock the oxygen in my ship's life support with iron and nickel. One would think that chemistry-wise, it would be easier to mine ice from an asteroid for water, electrolyze it. Or even better, mine some liquid oxygen, because we already do both of these in the game. But no. Gotta go get some iron and nickel, because obviously that stuff is just chock full of oxygen.
- I can't just buy that iron and nickel at a station. I have to go mine it somewhere. We have an economy in which almost anything is for sale, from basic water and food, to weapons, exotic rare Lavian Brandy, and even actual people, but iron isn't on the menu.

However, I will grant you that the whole gravity-in-space-without-artifical-gravity thing is much dumber more immersion-breaking. Speed limits in space is another one.

[stops rant, gets off soap box]

Station will gladly rearm my Gauss Cannons for an insignificant amount of money, any station, even the most backwater one. They always have my ammo in stock! But to rearm them in flight, I must have some rare ancient trinkets that could be found only far away from Bubble in the ruins of a dead civilisation.

... and to get those those Gauss Cannons you also needed rare ancient trinkets. But just at time of your first purchase. After that it's as easy as buying fuel. Maybe it's to prove you're cool enough to buy them in the first place?

Don't forget the bribe of 50t of Kamitra Cigars for chain-smoker Hera Tani, so that she can work on your power plant with her mouth full of lit cigars
