SakashiroEngineer access appears to be slightly borked. I just traveled beyond 300 Ly from my start location and got instant grade 1 access not only to Elvira Martuuk but also to Tod McQuinn. No Soontill relics, no bounty vouchers required.

Perhaps they remember me from my previous life.

Yes me to got Juri Ishmael,Selene Jean and The dweller all unlocked no mining or combat needed

Curious, had you unlocked them on an earlier save, like me? Or is this your first time?

Btw, I still keep getting 0 Cr modules on each ship I buy. Never happened before.

And the weirdness just doesn't stop. I was just promoted to Scout while I was mining in a ring. Shouldn't these promotions only happen while selling exploration data?

At least Felicity Farseer still wants her meta-alloy and won't just give me instant grade 1 access like the others.

Oh wait, raw materials also count as Universal Cartographics discoveries when collected for the first time.

Screw that mining CG, I'm going back to the Bubble.

60k per ton of commodity that have no hotspots. I am surprised you even tried that.

I try anything to see if I like it.

Btw last night I got grade 1 access to the Dweller. I have no idea what's going on there.

In Soviet Odyssey, engineers unlock you!

Are metallic meteorites (and the high grade raw materials contained therein) more frequent on high metal content worlds than on rocky bodies? I was looking for Tellurium on a rocky body (1.5% Te) but found much more on a nearby HMC world (1.1% Te).

Waiting for Epi response to this method of Tellurium search.

Good on you for wanting to actually play the game. Most of us just rush to the end goal by visiting the Anaconda crash site and scoop up the stuff by the bucket load.

Crashed Anaconda - Orrere system on Orrere 2B, at coordinates 43.8122, -173.9722
Category 3 - Ruthenium (4)
Category 5 - Tungsten (3), Tellurium (4)
Category 7 - Zirconium (2), Antimony (4)

Hmm, never considered that. Sounds like a good alternative to the crystalline shards.

So I went to that crashed Anaconda last night, and it's great! Right inside the Bubble, and a predictable yield. Very convenient. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, that has been my go-to spot ever since I first heard of it. Still frustrating when the mats roll under the boxes/wreckage and you can't get to them. Or they fly off to orbit if your wheels touch them. But a very convenient location with a material trader nearby.
