Elite roleplay: Q&A and OOC

I have built my entire story around not giving the entire story at one time in order to obsfuscate the truth
The only rule when switching POV in storytelling is its usually done at the start of a chapter and is done in such a way that the reader is informed of the change of perspective from one character to another

Quickly changing between two perspectives is not easy when done in the middle of conversations, often times in those cases its easier to go with narration that describes what each person thinks, keeping in mind what each character knows and expects vs reality ,et etc

Thanks folks, I will try to write something (maybe that series would be way shorter than I though but... eh ok)

Adam 'The detective' ŠtefánikCrap, I totaly forgot that I have unfinished log series for two months or so. Today as already late but I would like to know your opinions guys: is OK to switch from log style story (aka recorded from one main character pov) to classic novel style (more povs and actualy inputs from other persons even if they are not directly influencing main character)?

Yeah, I'd say go for it, further, you can make the Log style an item in your narrative style, which gives you license to go back to it, when you want. So the character could be keeping a log for instance.

Could even be fun if it gets found by someone who ought not to find it!

I have to say it (and meant to last night, but fell asleep)... 'NAD' is indeed a rather unfortunate acronym for "(Not a) Deathtrap", given the context of when it was mentioned.

But (harmless) inappropriate jokes seem to have found their way into RPs a bit more recently anyway, so I'm here for it.

I assure you it is simply a reassurance of how safe the device is. Honest.

"Nothing Abnormal Discovered"...

I'm luckily not going to be the one that rides it anyway. Both for my own safety
and the fact that it would probably require additional navigation programming to compensate for the offset center of mass.

It does sound like it'd be fun to mess around with when the creation is not due to attempting to infiltrate a carrier full of angry pirates. Or at least one owned by that lot.

It is perfectly safe. An ork would never do anything unsafe like strap a jet engine to its back

There's generally a lot of things with questionable passenger comfort, inside of which you can stuff humans for a fun ride.

I guess I'm lucky they'd have trouble stuffing me into anything other than a full-size passenger cabin. Which I would not enter voluntarily in about 99.99% of scenarios anyway. (And anybody taking me onboard should know I'd require a seat of special proportions)

Considering we humans fly directly into the space of Thargoid motherships without a second thought and start shouting insults over open comms, I think we may not be too far from the orks in some regards. And early-model jetpacks which don't use water as the propulsion method.

Where did you get this picture of me?

Bleh. Now I have to consider what my character's response to this is going to be, and I haven't even finished working on my most recent log entry series.

Thanks, Frontier.

So, a bit of a question… would it be an issue if I posted one or two (maybe 3?) log entries regarding current/more recent in-game lore events even when I haven’t yet finished the Abduction series?

As I’ve mentioned before, that last primary entry is taking its time…

… and I also spent the last like 8 hours making offline backups of my stuff in case Power Pissing Play 2.0 causes a mess in the databases. I have an obscene amount of writings from these last two years…

In regard of Powerplay 2.0 - no worries, even if some unexpected mess will happen, I will simply empty a few tables related to it and that's it. Nothing else will be affected. But it's always good to have backups, of course.

I have been meaning to do it for some time anyway, so it was just as well of an excuse.
