Thanks. I am going to claim the problem is not my lack of typing skill, but the keyboard having dyslexia. It also seems to have a problem with the letters A and N. I am always having to make chnages.

I feel like there's an obvious - and inappropriate - joke to be made here about the proportions of my character(s, though less so in the case of my alt/Jana)

after they chose to increase them in certain specific regions.

So, maybe it’s just me, but I am seeing a distinct pattern of people sticking around for the meltdown of Taranis from quite the variety on the spectrum (or however I should say it to make sense, my brain is basically right on the ‘shutting off to sleep’ point).

It’s of course been… well, basically six months already, but it was the only “interesting” event (from my perspective for all the wrong reasons) in these last few anyway. If you exclude humans being humans and deciding that with Thargoids on their way off the galactic stage (sort of) because they’ve had their performance*, they need to begin belittling each other again instead.

Not that I’d mind seeing the Sirius Tower(s) fall.

*Just ignore me holding up that banner of “It ain’t over till it’s over” above my head.

War is not just war. Business is done, high profits are made, technology develops - and the whole thing can also serve as a good distraction to set things in motion elsewhere that are better left unnoticed by the public for the time being.

Elsewhere, a meeting concluded in an unknown place.

Finance raised a glass. “The incentive we’ve given to the independent pilots is still being eagerly accepted. Our offer of abundant materials is boosting their involvement in the fight against the Thargoids, just as we planned.”

Personnel grinned. “Who would have thought that appealing to sheer greed would be so effective?”

“Well done indeed. But what about the bad news?” Society inquired.

Exo’s satisfaction faded. “Sirius. Li Yong-Rui. He’s openly abandoned our agreement.”

“Too soon?” Infrastructure asked thoughtfully.

Exo nodded, serious. “There are already rumors that time is running out. Maybe the pilots can still learn new tricks, but even that might not be enough.”

Finance looked displeased. “And what exactly do you think they should be doing?”

Infrastructure turned, his eyes shrewd, gesturing to the open space behind him. “What I expect many will do in the coming years: embark on a long overdue exodus.”

In the far, dimmed corner, at a separate table, Grand Design smirked viciously, overhearing the conversation. On the table, right in front of them, cards were placed, but not the mere playing cards, but photos, of people, whose significance was meticulously crafted and maintained for years upon years. Yet, despite all the measures, all the strings pulled, they still looked old, dusty, neglected. Almost forgotten.

"You were right about greed," Grand Design whispered quietly. "You just have no idea how much..."

From under the coat, carefully, with the hand ever so slightly trembling in anticipation, they produced another set of photos. New. Fresh. Unpacked. And a strange looking box, which resembled those people used for gifts...

A figure of “Grand Design” does not exist… in the actual lore. I’m guessing it refers to the Powerplay portraits? (My brain doesn’t seem to find it very funny)

Though I’m not entirely sure what to make of the ‘secret meeting’ either.

Grand Design = Game Design, and, yeah, PP2.0 and its possible effect on players. With the bloody irony about even the coded-in game design being helpless sometimes.

Crap, I totaly forgot that I have unfinished log series for two months or so. Today as already late but I would like to know your opinions guys: is OK to switch from log style story (aka recorded from one main character pov) to classic novel style (more povs and actualy inputs from other persons even if they are not directly influencing main character)?

Both have their pros and cons, as I think. Generally, do what you like the most and you should be fine.
