People get a bit irrate, if you make special snowflake, animal hybrid and you go against lore, its best that if you're part of a group, find the lore savvy one, that way whatever you write will be pretty much fine

Ah fair enough, I've just defected from the Federation to the Empire so was gonna use that as a backstory.

Yeah, was also gonna include the Federal military presence in Merope.

Eve Online, Photoshop and a bit of patience are what I use.

You can sign up for a 14 day trial and have a go with the character creator. I renewed my subscription for the purpose of character imagery because I have yet to find any other character creator that fits my purposes better.

There's a faction in Imperial space you might want to check out if you're interested in RP. I forget their name, but it's a group of ex-Fed bounty hunters who have defected to the Empire. I'll look around the starmap when I get home and try to find the system for you.

Does that sound like something that would interest you?

The description says that there's "various tabled and seated cubby holes", so each cubby-hole is potentially a "corner"
