LOL, Factions running bounty hunter scams!

  1. Faction A controls a system.
  2. Take mission from Faction A to eliminate member of Faction B (criminal organization) in same system.
  3. Mission is a bounty and not flagged as illegal.
  4. Eliminate target from Faction B
  5. Faction A places a bounty on your head for murdering the person they sent you to murder.

I was told to kill smugglers in a ‘legal’ mission once. Arrived at target site, suddenly they are all ‘clean’ Keelbacks flying around. I turned around and let the missions expire because if I was going to be shooting at clean targets, you should A, have told me so, and B, ensured that they are actually wanted criminals not just in your system.

Could’ve been shooting up a civilian who’s had no other options left, for all I knew.

Regardless of wanted or not, you are subject to C&P system in ground settlement unless they are anarchy.

I have no idea how it works... No one sees or hear you. Target dies instantly. But you get bounty for murder.

The only reasonable explanation is that you reported yourself.

On the INara page where you can see where the nearest conflicts are, what is the difference in text color for the factions in conflict? There, red, white and blue text.

Here's the link: Inara Nearest Conflicts

The colors represent the galactic power that the faction supports.
Blue - Empire
Red - Federation
White - Independent

FDev, I want to love you, but... why did you have to go and repaint the Hazard Kits and call them Extraction Kits. Nobody is driving a Cobra, T-6 or T-9 to the Titan.

I was so excited, I thought I was going to get a cool ship kit for the Gunship, Clipper, or Crusader... Nope.

That said, I like the muted colours of the Extraction sets better.

I’m not sure why they wouldn’t make one for the Krait(maybe that has a hazard kit, I don’t use the kits at all though), at least a paintjob. I would at least think they’re used fairly commonly for going to a Titan. I know I do…

(And I have heard of some bored people taking their Cobra in there, for what it’s worth.)

There's a Krait extraction kit too, yeah. I do like them, I just... wish it wasn't a repaint of something we already have. So many lost opportunities.

Why is that every faction and spaceship with the exception of scavengers using the same base suit and paintjob? Seriously how much does it takes to bring some variety to the game and add the fractions and vessels a skin appropriate to their role!?

But for real! Every damn soldier at the same yellow spacesuit every damn worker at the same jumpsuit, every damn spaceship on the factory paintjob! For pity sake!!!

Well considering FDev didn't give the Raider ship kit to the FdL which was the quintessential pirate ship in the original game, are you really surprised?
Come to think on it, considering 'twas the most popular combat ship in the game you'd expect it to get more than the bog standard ship kit at some point, wouldn't you?

Still, I got over my nostalgia goggles when I realised the reason I was having trouble fighting was the way it's large back end was affecting my FA on/off usage.

Wish I'd've realised that the AI are cheating gits before spendin' ages tryin' to get engi parts for my iEagle tho. Oh well. Engi killed the fun of combat regardless of such concerns anyways. At least the flight model's still enjoyable enough that I can fly around asteroids for a larf.

There's a lot of negligence, and sloppy ness around this game and something gives me the vibe some peoples just either trying to BS their ways out of it or sweep it under the rug. And to the both of this the right answer is, instead listening any of their crap some healthy butt kicking. But about things like this, i guess the reason is it's not that popular, but yet again? BS BS and what else? yeah... Even more BS.

Get the job done! That's why they getting paid for. PERIOD!

Odd hiccup that has happened to me twice in the past week and it seems to be random when it happens.

I log out while on foot in a station. When I log back in, I cannot use the lifts to return to my ship because " there is no available ship" in the hangar. Really? Not the ship I used to fly into the station or any of the ships I have that are stored on the station?

I can fix it by going to Inter Astra. For some reason the ship I used to dock on the station needs to be transferred to the station (it is 5 minutes away). I can also choose one of the ships stored at the station.

Not a game-breaker. just mildly annoying.

That bug could become a major problem if it happened on a fleet carrier that's thousands of light years out in the void—or doesn't have Inter Astra installed. An escape pod would be the only way to leave that carrier.

Yeah, I see where that could be a problem. My first thought was that the ship had just vanished. Unfortunately, I did not take the time to figure out if the game put it on another station in the same system which is why a transfer only took 5 minutes. I was just happy that I could get it back after someone took it for a joy ride to another place. The lesson for me is to log out in a ship, not on foot.
