PatMonHello first time to this thread.
I have a quick question and a thousand pardons if it has been discussed here before. Being a novice trader in the elite universe, I am trying to understand the dynamics of price variations.
Okay, here is the question: If a station trades commodities, do the prices listed here on INARA reflect only that last transaction? Like for instance a station that hasn’t been updated for 59 days, does that mean nobody has visited that station for the database to be updated? Thanks in advance
Elite: Dangerous Database is your best friend. It uses the API to update prices regularly. Just be sure to check when the last update was completed. It's very handy for looking up trade routes for the max profit/ton. Good rules to follow are keeping the distance to stations/outposts less than 500ls from the star, average above 1000cr/ton of cargo , keep the number of jumps to a minimum.

Luke3107All data on this site is manually updated so if an item says "Not updated for *x* number of days" it simply means no one has updated the information on this site for *x* days.
I don't think this is accurate. Per conversation with Artie, I believe Inara pulls commodity data from EDDB, but I don't know the frequency. I've heard it is on load of a page for a particular station, but I've seen discrepancies so maybe the data is cached for a while?
Also, EDDB data may be a bit old as well because players who run the ED Market Connector update the EDDB data when they dock at a station with a market. Inara pulls from EDDB. Manual updates are also possible but it's at the Inara user's discretion to do so and may be inaccurate.
On the Market page here on Inara, you can manually update the prices, or upload the .csv file Market Connector (or you) create. Next to this option is the timestamp when the prices for that station were last updated - and this timestamp is usually pretty recent - though I've seen it be a few weeks old on occasion.

John "Xeknos" MathurinI suspect we'll have to pay to make avatar changes. FDev loves their microtransactions, and plastic surgery could easily fall into that bin.
I have to point out that FDEV's policy on microtransactions and whatnot has always been to make things "optional." That is, ship kits and paint jobs have no effect on the gameplay or performance of the ships. They're purely cosmetic and having one or all the paint jobs/kits does nothing to boost your ship's ability. You can play the game without ever spending another dime on parts.
That said, I do think we'll be paying for clothes and the like, but as far as remaking our avatars, I don't see them locking it to a one-and-done sort of system where you have to pay to reshape their face. Again, this isn't EVE. You can actually change your avatar's gender at will right now and I don't see that changing once 2.3 comes out.

I would advise traveling to a low security system and using the intergalactic broker from the transactions tab. They charge a 25% fee for services, but he can pay it off from there. They only are in Low security systems so filter the galaxy map by security.

Look near the top-right of this site, click on the Search tab, type nova corporation, hit enter....
You will find the minor faction and it's system data.... which in this case is: ... EQ Pegasi
