So, can't help but notice that a lot of the stations outfitting inventories are out of date/inaccurate.

You have a time of the update displayed, so you know how old the information is. Frequent systems/stations are usually updated many times per day. If it is wrong despite the fact the information was just updated, there is nothing I can do with it - this information is simply coming from the Frontier's API via EDMC/EDDN and I don't know how much it is wrong or correct. It is simply as is.

if any one played fallout, they may realise that the BOS uses similar ranks to the Imperials

IngramI keep taking trading mission, and end up paying fines due to the fact that on arrival in the system, I cannot find the delivery point:

It might be as simple as looking in your Nav Panel when in the system and seeing if the round symbol symbol is showing next to a location. Select that and head for it.

I haven't had this problem since I invested in an Advanced discovery scanner. Lacking one, or not using it, may mean the delivery location is too far from the star and not showing up?

Are you able to see it on the system map before you take the mission?

There are two solutions to this.

1 Buy exploration data for the system in question. You do this in the Galmap, and it's only a few hundred credits.

2 On arrival, scan the Navigation Beacon. Your Navcom will be updated with the system locations.

I feel like the Adder needs some love.
Wish it was viable, but it's pretty much useless when you get to a certain point :/

Yea. That sums up 50% of the ships in the game.

What kills me is the lowbie ships have the best paint jobs. I would kill for some of the paint jobs the viper and sidewinders get. Seriously kill... for them...

The smaller ships make great support vehicles for the larger in game thanks to ship delivery. I use a modded sidewinder to dock at outposts to look for mission or direct my bond payments whilst CZ-ing in the Corvette. Breaks up game play in a fun way having to use your in system shuttlecraft.

The adder makes a great multi system support craft. Much sturdier than the hauler if you happen to have bounty hunters after you. It also has a med hardpoint for those quick engineering changes you may need for the FDL loadout for example.

Mk 4 Viper is a kick arse planetary lander for material hauls!.. love that wee beast!

Yanno, this Cooper Mini was great when I was a single guy, living in the city, fresh out of college, but now that I have a family and a dog and need to haul significantly more groceries to my suburban home over all the rough country roads, it's just not the same car it used to be.

Even that's gonna be obsolete once frontier will allow us to use our fighters to dock with outposts...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard/ read somewhere that they were gonna make that happen...

But that just enforces that the point. Small ships do need to become more usefull...

Depends on what you think of as useful to be honest! I love my small ships, they're so much more fun to fly than the larger vessels, and that's primarily why I've stuck to them for so long.

Sure they don't pack as big a punch, or hold out as long against larger weapons, but if you have 3 eagles/vipers/couriers in a wing on you (and they're decent pilots) you're gonna have a bad day. That's where their strengths really come into play, teamwork, and having a blast careering through space like an armed to the teeth rocket powered go-kart! C:<

That's combat though, and not everyone does combat. For Trading they're not so great, maybe for rares and outpost trading, but meh, you can do that in an Asp. As for Mining, much the same. Small ships do make great mission board runners though.

You know what would be nice? Wing formations, voted wing leaders. Wing form frame shift drive boosts?
