Does anyone know of of a way to import your fleet info into Inara from PS4 or am I stuck at doing it manually?

Sadly for now only manual, unsure if PS4 have "journal" files at all. You may try ask also on this discord: https://discord.gg/3S4SWBt .. there are most of programming wizards for most of utilities used by ED players.

You don't know a lot about the people you're fighting until you see how they react to being sent to the rebuy screen.

The ones who flip shit and get salty about it? Those are the types of folks you want to avoid flying with. But the ones who laugh it off and talk to you in the station after the fact? Those are good folk. Those are the ones you want a friend request from at the end and to wing up with and learn from.

Ganking is generally frowned upon, but you learn a lot about people.

I wonder if ganking is frowned upon in part because 'victims' learn so much about themselves.

I'll freely admit to flipping my shit in the past.  But thanks to that I've become not just a better Elite player, but a better person too. Don't mean it wasn't any less fun, but by golly has it been worth it.

StrasnyLadaI believe some people on internet often behave like pricks just because "they can". There is no reason or bad will behind it. The anonymity allows them to do stuff they wouldn't think of doing to someone they could actually see. And I speak from life experience here, since I was young and stupid too.
As I see it, what happens in the game stays in the game, we shouldn't take it personally.
Then again, I myself wrote a (politely sarcastic) PM to a guy who shot me for no reason (no bounty, no faction, unarmed) and caused me 20Mil credit loss, because I'm a bit hot headed :-P and because that happened like 10minutes after I finally decided to give OPEN play a try ...
Oh well ...

Speaking of behaving like pricks because they can: I had my first stream sniper the other day. A viewer recognized the name and called him out. Wouldn't have worked out for the sniper anyway since he was PC and I'm PS4. Wish we hadn't said anything and let him search for me

Behaving like a prick "in-world" is ok by me if they're playing a character. Unfortunately, most of the time there is ill will behind it... stream snipers, noob gankers, fuel rat killers are a prime example of this. Basically the strong picking on the weak. Classic bully behavior for the sake of bullying. They get nothing out of it save feelings of superiority.

They should be flogged. Better yet... we should tattle to their mamas  ;)

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to die in a fight or to a roleplaying pirate who'd stop me and demand cargo. But being shot at the second I leave SC and die in 10 sec? ... where's the fun in that?
It's also about the way and reason you die for. The reactions would differ. At least for me.

The fun is fully on attacker side, that is it ... (it is not search for challenge) . On other side you usually can do something for not dying in 10 seconds, but it need some experience and preparations.

My apology for confusing you, I merely joined the general discussion.

When you've gained that experience and made that prep, and are able to leave your attackers spluttering in your high-wake, then yes - it can be a lot of fun

Of the many times I've visited the rebuy screen, I can honestly say that the only times I've gotten 'upset' were more against myself than a 'ganker.'

I took pride knowing that whether in a sidewinder or a corvette, I fought tooth and nail to give the other guy hell. Once, for kicks, I was helping some new pilots in a combat zone whilst in my corvette. I held the line against 6 attacking ships as one by one the three others (viper, eagle, and cobra) jumped away to safety. As the last lad jumped off, I simply said, "It was an honor serving with you" as turrets fired at will and the flames engulfed my ship. To this day, they still say that it was memorable, plus it was funny for me, despite that 2 of the 6 attacking ships were endgame 'gankers.'

That being said, I could only get so angry when I met the rebuy screen after flying a corvette at 2.5 klicks a second 90 degrees into a planet after dozing off while studying and playing. I felt the least that the game could have been done was to make a massive impact crater in memorial, but whatever.

Been there, done that already.

Killing Harry Potter in game is probably gratifying, but in Drew's Novel, Besieger dies from being shot by station weaponry. As far as the story goes, he's just as dead as Salome, so I fail to see the point of hunting him down.

I think it's a closure thing. At least that's my mentality when bounty hunting players.

edit: and does it really? Now I really ought to have a read.
