What's the point of open play during CG goals goals if the cmdrs that kill you can't be found after respawn? Why I'm I wasting 6 mil a pop when in one instance I fly around low targets, almost no cmdrs then 10 seconds later it's a system full of anacondas killing me. Then if I can call for backup after respawn ......uh all empty space again.

Also found a player being interdicted by a wanted cmdr. Interdiction failed but we couldn't then ever find the pirate. Sooo things seem way slanted towards people that are basically just using cgs as a means to troll. Is there anyway to organize to find/fight cmdr pirates like that?

As a pirate, I can tell you this.

I do not hunt people down, for the sake of making them experience the rebuy screen. I liberate cargo.

If your serious about hunting these people down, I suggest you harden up a bit. Get yourself a wake scanner, kill warrant scanner and interdictor and activly go after them.

I'm sure there are wings out there that do just that. Bounty hunt.

Phisto is a good source for PvP and is usually willing to offer advice and suggestions.

Oh yeah! That's what I think is good. And I've had "terrible" (genuinely made the game fun) experiences trying to outrun pirate cmdrs, getting shot up, cargo stolen, sent warnings with 5% hull left. And in those cases I think FUN. Even if I do get killed. But it's a pain trying to harden up when you basically get spawn camped while trying to harden up. And I don't know if there is, but there seems to be no way to be held responsible for just killing cmdrs indescrimently. Just fsd a system and back and you can't be caught
Also thanks for the reply! Just a little frustrated

OrganizedT, story time?

While back one of our new guys got ganked.  Fired up, rightfully so. He was just trying to engineer his first ship.  He got the name of the Commander and we held on to it.  Weeks later, myself and a wing of Fusiliers happened upon that Commander and broke him in half.

Justice, revenge, whatever you want to call it?  In a world like Elite, don't count on the authorities.  It's best served by those you can trust having patience and long memory.

This is may be also apply for for Pöwerplay Black-Ops, if you doing it right, otherwise, You just have to go in an anarchic system under Archon Delaine's control and wait for Kumo Crew mobsters, Feds/sirius and utopian space-hippies to bump on you and force KC transport to drop cargo and flee but if they're in wing and you accidently killed their W-leader, they spread out and High-wake out in every directions, immediatly, sometimes.

but I'm not sure anymore. so correct me if i'm wrong.

OK! That's reassuring! I just bought my first python, working towards a clipper. I've just reached a point that I feel effective enough to start looking into groups to join, so I'm glad that it is possible to run into enemy cmdrs a second time.

Yup. Holding grudges is ok in Elite!

What platform do you play on? I'm on XBOX. We've got a lot of good groups. PC does, too. What do you like to do in the game?

so im new to piracy and wanted to know if it was a bug that NPC's can go right back into FSD practically right after i interdict them? i have just enough time to scan them, then they bail. is this an issue with the game? or something im doing wrong?

Yep it's a known issue and several bug reports with vids have been posted to Frontier!

Don't worry, you're not doing it wrong!

You'll just need to be quick with that scanner in the meantime. Although, the FSD bug only occurs with ships carrying certain equipment and certain cargo... if the NPC cheats on its FSD cooldown, its a pretty good bet that they are carrying that certain shiny cargo we covet, right?

It depends, some times they will Start their FSD when they're at 15% hull -or after a some time- and sometimes they immediately active it and get away ASAP, for what I saw, except for Assassination job, Heist(maybe) and kidnapping rescue, NPC always High-wake out, so no mass locking possible, so If you have doubt, aim to the FSD directly or the power plant(but don't shoot the PP too much or it will blow up the ship) to force them to reboot/repair.

Are.... are you giving marra advice about piracy?

Whilst these observations are true, they aren't relevant to the bug TCalex is describing.

NFC PhistoCobra III! All the awesome, none of the suck.

Phisto is right, gotta respect the classics man.

That's still my go-to bounty hunting ship. It's just so flexible. I put some turrets on it too for the multicrew update. It's been so much fun.
