T'SanakI do not remember, but two factions entered a pending state of war by equalizing their influence. Can war be avoided during that pending state by creating a differential during these 3 days of pending through trade?



The States can be put into three categories.


1st Priority


War and Civil War (armed conflicts) as well as Elections (peaceful conflict) are on top of all other States out there, and will cancel any other that is currently active when they go live as well.

Some lower category states will be removed completely when pending as well, while others will still be pending and just put on halt.


2nd Priority


Expansions, Retreats and Investment States are in this category.

They will cancel out any of the lower ranked states when going live.


3rd Priority


Boom, Bust, Civil Unrest, Famine, Lockdown, Outbreak are in the lowest category.

All of those States can be avoided from going active if enough appropriate action is taken against them in their pending phase.

Though I've yet to hear from someone that doesn't want a Boom from happening.


Since we're talking top priority States here, the answer is that it cannot be avoided. However, if you're working for one side in the pending phase you can create a big enough % gap. Resulting in the War lasting only it's minimum duration of 4 days total.

Thanks Ryan, That's what I noticed about creating a gap before hand and the war seems to only last its minimum duration since the 7% (or 5?) is already present.

To have a goal is one thing, but it comes down to every woman and man who supports said goal. Who doesn't get thrown off by minor setbacks and keep their mind focused on the next steps to achieve something greater in the end.

And to see them results is giving one a feeling of such utter joy and satisfaction it's impossible to describe in full.

One has to witness it to believe it.

As well as a wing that plays the long game and knows the difference between tactics and strategy.

Yeah we are allied. But it seems you're implying something along the lines that the WOJ doesn't know the difference between tactics and strategy.

It seems you're implying something that wasn't there in the first place. As it is with many things, first inquire about how something was ment by the original author of a post instead of jumping to assumptions.

Iin his defence, it's such a caustic environment here, people assume they're being attacked even when you make a supportive comment. It just reinforces what I said about avoiding Inara's shared areas.

As true as that may be, that doesn't mean one shouldn't attempt to make some conversation with the normal folks on this site. We know whom not to address and to avoid, but others might still be available for to talk to in a reasonable manner.

A few bad apples on a tree doesn't mean you'd take the axe and chop it all down.
