Well, there seems some kind of cuteness in those trolls, that makes reasonable silence hard to keep apparently.
Considering topics posted on this public forum weren't pointed towards certain people and yet they still believe that everything written is about them.
No idea about you but the word cute isn't what comes to mind here.

That said...
I figure folks on Inara are probably wondering where all the hostility comes from between some Ghost Legion members (Ryan Murdoc specifically, along with a few of the others that have posted here in the past couple days) and other regulars of the Inara Board (myself, Matt Lehman, Psymon).
I can only speak for myself obviously, but here's the thing, there was a big in-game conflict back at the end of June between my group, Newton's Fusiliers, and Ghost Legion that played out publicly in the Inara General Discord. This isn't the reason for all the hostility between all of the people obviously, but I can absolutely 100% guarantee it's the reason they don't like me or my group.
What irritates me personally is folks from Ghost Legion acting like there ain't a history between them and a bunch of people here. Then they vaguebook about who is and isn't worth your time around Inara and then just in the past few posts have the gall to use the word troll.
Well, anyone want to read up on it and educate yourself? The internet never forgets. Here's what you do:
1) Join Inara Discord.
2) Search for references to Ghost Legion.
3) Go back to late June, early July. Newton's Fusiliers specific declaration of hostilities happened on 6/22/17. You'll see a big old post from me about it. It all flows from there for the next few weeks.
4) Decide for yourself what you think about it all and the current sniping on these boards.
As far as I know, the only Commander to have his posts removed by Artie was a "Black Out" after he became verbally abusive and spammed the chat with profanity. Everything else will be there.

Well said and I agree.
To be honest it doesn't even serve anybody who gets involved. Personally I have found it very annoying how a whole group's name gets constantly dragged into what is in point of fact just a tiff between a couple of individual people. It needlessly complicates and obfuscates what really is just a simple matter of two types of people not agreeing with each other, and it needs to stop.
May I suggest that:
1) If someone wants to disagree with another person then please do so without the sniping and without bringing their membership of a group into it purely to score points. This goes for all sides concerned. No one here is a hive mind, we are all individuals first and foremost.
2) Let's keep things amicable. This is a video game forum after all. It has always been and should continue to be what we all do for fun in our time off. Check the animosity at the door.
And now for something completely different! What feature(s) is everyone most excited about in 2.4?

Did you read up on the Discord history at all? I ask because it is a very important part of the Inara community's history and was never ever even remotely a private matter. A lot happens in that Discord that then spills onto the boards (fun and maybe not so fun) and I believe folks should be told where to find the history of the community they are a part of.
It's their history now, after all.
Anyway, when it's all said and done we are a community. We've had some pretty good times. Sweeping stuff under the rug and taking it to private never ever solves anything. In fact, it just allows the hurt to fester and grow. You want to fix something? You drag it out into the light, even if it's kicking and screaming.
Heck, I'm happy to discuss whatever we can do to make this place better between folk.
Oh, and with 2.4, I'm excited for the Crime and Punishment changes. I hope it seperates the wheat from the chaff as far as criminal behavior goes.

- Any off topic discussion, please post this kind of stuff to the "Offtopic" thread.
