I'm off to work now. The Fringe Lord hast federal corvette with prismatic shields. Impulse attack and fighter bay. I got shields to 1 ring. Suggest wing attack with good engineered ships. He is still in rhea. Special recon operative out.

Probably a good thing. The complaints about missiles are not really that solid either, as once the hearts up it seems that you're meant to focus it with normal weapons, and save your missiles, as normal weapons damage the hearts just fine.

Thargoids seem to be Elite's equivalent to MMO Raid bosses. Being hard to kill is their entire point.

With that nerf it seems like they're impossible to kill though.

Hello, just signed up after recommendation from a colleague who is a member here :-) I was wondering... I'm looking for meta-alloys for the 2nd engineer. I am currently near to Rhea. What is my bets bet in finding them? Should I still try to go to Maia or are there nearer barnacles? Thanks in advance for any help!

try heading around the plaiedies, if you see a USS jump inside in caution, theres a chance for meta alloys to spawn

As far as I know, merope and the surrounding area are the only places to find barnacles. Though if you can't be bothered with the hard work like me then you can also purchase them at darnielles progress, maia. Watch out for those thargoid thingies while you're there.

Welcome to the site anyway, it's a great resource which I guess you're colleague told you already. If you two haven't already then check out the wings tab and you can group up with like minded players. As always I hope you would consider my group but no hard feelings if you have something else in mind.

you can pick up meta alloys from the barnacles in the forest while also sight seeing. 2 birds 1 stone.
