Damanpersonally fixed for frags - max damage. also - if you want pacifier frags they only come in fixed variant. i find them effective against med and larger ships - smaller ones not so much. double shot frags are one of my favorite weapons.

i only use the turrets on the big ships - to catch those flying over you in the face unexpectedly

the difference between a stock class 2 gimaballed or turrent (143 vs 179) is not that big...and cosidering how close you need to be, chaff won't be a problem, i would go for gimballed....hmm or still for the fixed?

At close ranges, the FDL's medium hardpoint convergence makes gimballed frags very effective. Even if they pop chaff, you're still able to put a lot of buckshot on a target at point blank range. Not only that, but you get HOBS capability with gimbals.

It's really a matter of preference, to be honest.

yeah - i use the frags fixed on a vulture, and FGS. different kettle of fish.

Hello everyone,
I am currently in the process of searching for a new home base. Sadly no database has any information on the station looks. Basically, what I'm looking for is a wealthy or tourism station type, with a shipyard big enough for 15+ ships.

So far I have only found these stations with ship storage for only 3 ships, so if anyone here could recommend any place I could check on, I'd be grateful :-)

Fly safe!

With regards to your shipyard requirements, I was under the impression any shipyards could store an Infinite number of vessels. The only thing that varies between them is the number of ships available and the types.

That's all I can help with from here unfortunately.

The limits on the shipyards behave in a strange way ... and I think I just found out how it works.
All the stations I have visited showed the free storage space with the same number as the number of ships the station is selling. This is a bug I believe, since once you actually buy and store a ship there (or transfer from other base), it shows 35 max, just as anywhere else.

I have made the imperial rank of Squire and was granted a permit for the Archnar system. I arrived a thought I’d try a skimmer mission. only when I got to the location No Skimmers. I flew towards the location got a warning still no skimmers. Now I’m wanted because I pressed the wrong button and fired a bloody missile at a building. Any ideas why the skimmers didn’t Show and is it worth doing the missions after being granted the permit

The missions in the system are nothing special, really. You can find the same ones all over. As for skimmer missions in general, it'll give you a location and a group the skimmers belong to, but they won't necessarily spawn there. When this happens to me, I drive my SRV around near the base and find small points of interest. Skimmers will pop up to defend loose cargo, crashed probes, and other things on the surface of the planet. Just be sure they're from the correct faction and listed as wanted if you want to avoid a bounty.

The Federation hates me! They aren't giving me any Navy/Naval missions for days now and I'm stuck at 100%. What a bunch of bullies they are.
