People still justifying combat logging... Oh goodness.

There are plenty of ways to evade them evil meanie PVPers without combat logging... Like high-waking...

Blood VipreJust got terrorized by Cmdrs Niatra and Dangerous.com
.........
50 million in assets and credits, gone. Nearly four years of an hour or two a week playing time, gone..........

I won`t be playing this in open, ever, ever, again.

Very sorry as it seems your first open sortie sour'd you so. I don't think very many pilots find the steep front-end on open very inviting. But I'm sure if you look at your actual remaining resources closely you'll see you have not lost as much as you thought. Even if you lost a Prismatic's equipped, "A"-rated and fully modded Core-Dynamics Eagle the most it could runs for full priced dealership value would be less than 5 million, not 50 million. None the less it's very disappointing to get hit like that. Send the bullies over my way. I fly in open. All the time. 12/7.

I fly in Open, almost always, except when mission board hopping, never been griefed or griefed myself, I would imagine the only way to lose 50 Million credits in an Eagle would be if you committed a crime in a larger ship and then bit the bullet your rebuy would then be for the ship you committed the crime in, my Vette rebuy is 46 Million. unless you are talking about lost hand ins for Bounty hunting and such.

Good point there Renraiku.

Sounds like whatever the issue is a massive lesson needs learned, not blaming gankers in Open Play.

Phisto m8... 1v1 me right nao, stock Sidewinders.

I would love to.

Cross play fdev plz
08 Nov 2017, 2:01am
That does not justify it, nor does it change the fact that YANK is against the FDev EULA.

Sorry, Logan, but there's literally nothing that objectively makes your cheating ok.  Obviously you don't care, and that's fine, but save your breath trying to defend it and I'll save mine trying to persuade you otherwise.

Regarding crime and punishment, at least on XBOX most if not all of the good guy 'hero' wings are just bad.  I'm firmly convinced with some more creative tactics, more appropriate mix of ships, and some more organization they could really bring the heat to murderers.

But that would take work.  So, I don't expect to see it any time soon.

I do like the ideas behind the new crime and punishment suggestions... make the ship hot... but I'm not sure it's enough of a deterrent for griefers. In the real world their bank accounts would be frozen, property confiscated, etc.

If it were a combo of hot ship, player bounty, and truly painful frozen assets, then that may deter. Combine that with more piratey stuff to do in game.

Truly lucrative PvP piracy would be fabulous. But there's plenty of pirates here who can speak more authoritatively than me on the subject.

In regards to selling exploration data, a source I have that's admittedly old says there's a cap of 10 million credits per day for selling exploration data to a controlling faction to increase their system influence. Is this still applicable or has this been changed?

Hello

Did someone just try to weakly compare "nonconsensual pvp" to rape

*loads shotgun*

Logan Darklighter
Yeah it's a "combat log". Yeah in some people's eyes it's breaking the rules, terms of service, whatever.

F***K it. I don't care. I wasn't set up for PVP. I'm not A-Rated or engineered enough. A fair fight is for fools. And that was in no way a fair fight.

And I am no fool.

But you are a cheat.

I fly exclusively in open. Don't ever flip for mission screens. I fly station-to-station to stack tickets.
But I have lots of time to put in. That is my only advantage.
I do not combat-log and have lost ships to notorious posted predators and the odd gamer, usually while visiting engineers.
- Rebuy -
If I look at my stats screen it's:
116 ships lost,
for a career total claim cost of:
381,676,149 CR.

I figure maybe seven of them were PvP losses. The rest pretty much by my own hand.
hell - I lost three Pythons and a Courier to that raining skimmer from the sky thing a while back.
- So a can't say I see any real problem with PvP or open play. Really - figure the odds.
