Something interesting I noticed today. Not sure if its been pointed out here yet or not. In the list of ships that support multi-crew that you can access from the comms panel. The Type-10 Defender is now on the list.

totally newb question (in advanced PVP that is )...but i just encountered a FDL who took my prismatic shields in 2 shots with something that looks like shotgun, with a darker red signature....any idea what it could be? could not find it in engineer modules or faction-based weaponry

oh sorry misunderstood. then it must be a frag cannon of some kind - prob incendiary rounds.

if the spread was wide it would be a regular frag cannon, if quite compact spread then prob a pacifier frag cannon.

Sounds like frag cannons with the red weapon modifier or the incendiary effect (or both). Massed overcharged or double shot frags have very high DPS (and with premium ammo, they're even deadlier!) and can rip through shields with ease.

yep. even turretted double shot frags rip through large ships shields and hulls
