Thomas EvansDoes anyone have a good idea where I can find the material tungsten?

Asuming u have a surface scanner, theres a chanse for that in any system with lots of landable planets or moons.Check scan details...this was the easy version, and the rest u have too doo the hard way,by drive around chasing signals with ur srv

I don't fully understand how to find .... well anything with my SRV. I fly around see a big blue circle, I land, I look, I find nothing but dirt. I went looking for rocks to mine and just happen to fumble onto 2 rocks in about 1-2 hours time. Is there some secrete to using the SRV sonar that I don't know yet because right now I pretty much just drive in one direction until I am bored and then drive into another direction until I get bored then I do something stupid like last night I tried to fly the SRV off of a 20km mountain down into a crater hoping to get some reward. It didn't end well as about half way down I clipped a rock and went into an uncontrollable spin for about 5km then clipped another rock that leveled me out but by this point i am at 5% hull so the landing well.... didn't go so well. The point is that I wanted to mine rocks not do circus tricks. I really don't know why I waste time in the SRV when I can strip mine a ring while watching Punisher on my laptop.

Sorry didn't mean to talk you all on that rant, so back to the question. Is there something I should be looking for on the sonar just above the radar on the SRV that will guide me to something cool or something I can mine?

OH an one more question. If I align myself with lets say Asiling Duval in order to unlock prismatic shields, once doing so if I change to another power will I loose access to the prismatic shields?

When you are near mineable rocks you can see bars reaching up from the bottom of the display. There will be many bars so you have to head to the middle of the group.

Near your ship you will see other bars. I can't remember if they are in the middle of the display or the top. Drive around and turn so you see how they move and keep pointing at your ship. All ships and ship like objects will show up this way.

Other types of objects can also appear in the scanner. They will be in either the top or bottom of the display, I can't remember which, but it won't be the same place as the ship. Some of these can be crashed ships or bases/outposts.

This might help some. Helped me anyway.

the Prismatic shields you may keep...however access to buy new, will be gone until you're at least 4 weeks committed again to A.D.

This is for the BGS specialists...:

Situation:

Faction A is starting a war to control a system AA, and has as well present in system AB....

Question: what happens with the INF if you deliver the combat bond in another system (AB in this case) where they are as well present....will the INF of faction A be raised where the war happened? (btw fyi this happened due to lack of large landing pad in system AA)

Bonds doesnt affect INF as far i know, it´s a excuse to claim some credits just by being in combat. However, just by engaging and destroying ships in name of that faction will actually affect INF of that party in that particular system, furthermore, If you Combat for Faction A in Sys AB the influence of Faction A in AB will raise.

Still depends if Faction A is defending, trying to expand or in a civil war with other local faction.

You are free of correct me if i´m wrong

the only way to increase INF for a faction that is in war in a systemr is ONLY by Combat Bond

To add to Draxxa's question, I've asked the same thing over at the Elite forum. To be precise:

Does handing the bond in positively affect the faction's influence, globally, across all of the systems they have presence in at the same time?

In other words, a faction has presence in 5 systems. I hand in a bond at one of those systems, not the one the war takes place in, does it have the same affect on all 5 of those systems at the same time?

The answer I have received is:

No. It will only increase influence in the system that faction is present in.

e.g Faction A is present in Systems 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Faction A is at war in System 2. The only thing that will increase influence for Faction A is handing in bonds earned for that faction in the war in System 2.
If you hand those bonds in at System 2 (where the war is), it will have a positive increase for Faction A in System 2 only.
If you hand those bonds in at System 3 (where the faction is in a None state), it will have a positive increase for Faction A in System 3 only.

We need independent confirmation that that is, indeed, how the BGS works.

I confirm that is how it works

Resorces for ammo refill etc. common ones  are found easier  by mining, most of them  atleast.

The Huge problem for me and i belive Many other CMDRs Is Storage Space for Minerals aswell as Data Storage Space. It makes you also have to consider too prioritise in a huge game like this.Forcing Cmdrs to do engineerin, exploring or fighting ONE task at the time,if you whant too be well suited for it,or medium

Its like you move around minerals in a suitcase and a External hard drive in your  backpocket, from the first small one too your last big ship.

One suggestion is space expands with ranking,to give a small extra motivator for becoming Elite ,or faction rank, idont know.IT  Can Also become A Ship module upgrade, that do not affect  module space ,like buying a 20ft container instead of a suitcase, and instead of a 2mb flash u can upgrade to a Server

Id give storage space a rank of POOR MiNUS.

Time is all the investment all of you Great  Cmdrs give,so they should ease up on minor stuff like this, soo you dont use lots of SRV time, ending up to Prioritize away ex.reflill-minerals to a engineered module, which often dont come out Acceptable the first time(or the 10th)
That can way you can end up too have used a couple of days dooing/achived NoThInG,or less for a try-out/beginner.

Been there ,Done That.

Onely fair support for such solution ,is that There are Legendary Cmdrs(maybe 10 %of us) that have used Years too be in their confortable situation, and we all whant too be there in a "week"
And they are the ones thats still there, when this ED-bubble is popped, and other games prevail.

ED is like A Beautiful flower, whitout water.....Give it water huh!!!

Had to get this off my chest, hope im not spoiling or step on toes.

Allright all...Be nice out there, and have storage and Time Prioritizing hours of fun.

Its just facts to concider

I love this Unique game, like the LoTR books and story..it have made a base for loots of wannabe games to come

its also filled with aloot of sience stuff, from azimuths and elevation, angles on planets, too simple stuff like reading a compass. Not filled with bonuses for how many heads that  splatters on the screen.Kids tooday know moore about a shotgun, than amazing stuff like this.

Maybe im a Explorer by heart, lol

Anyone who been through game basics, can understand or figure stuff  in reality.Id go as far as call it a learning game if you suck it all up or have a second look at all the stuff that is there.

Cheers

Well thats how its done, some intel can give you some advantages, like signal reading and dont chase Blues for minerals, land anywhere,a random crater maybe.Blue gives you other stuff like a ship wreck etc.

Remember,if you surface scan says,ex.1.7% iron,it is Really 1.7% iron...luck have too do too fill the big find

Sadly but great, some well informative Cmdrs gives the best intel on stream sites like youtube. Not by ED its self.

All Hail too those Cmdrs,ED wouldnt be there whithout them.:D,Or great sites like This one Ofcause;)

Cant add moore too this matter

Enjoy
