Silverdrake220So kinda a gripe a bit I should not have to do CGs in solo because their is a guy killing people at the CG because he can. Had to eat two rebuys on my trade Conda because of it.

What's the build?

I do the CGs in a PG (Mobius), or Solo. Otherwise I switch between Open and the PG, depending on my mood, but mainly fly in the PG.

You are right, you shouldn't!

You should learn basic evasion techniques and have the last laugh!

Yeah, did that Marra: high waked out, patched up, jumped back in and got pulled out again by the same guy who then took the T9's FSD off-line in about 8 seconds so no chance to high wake out again. Lesson learned, don't do trade CGs in Open, at least on the XBox. Only collect in Open.

And switching track: anyone see any difference using the new One X? The only differences I've seen so far are a slightly faster loading rate for the game and a slight stuttering in animation occasionally that I hadn't noticed on the previous console.

Sounds like you were hit by an FSD Interrupt missile, which are fixed only. To get hit by one of these, you must have been flying in a straight line away from your enemy instead of boosting towards them, SYS pips to max, whilst spooling up your FSD.

That's the lesson to learn.

There’s lots of lessons to learn. None of them are ‘Don’t play in Open.’

I second this.

Playing in solo or a PG that is PVE only takes from the game. Space is cold, dark and dangerous. There are unsavoury people out there and they add to the mystique of a rich Galaxy.

Just did a CG in a imperial cutter with 752T cargo....if you do all these tactics as Marra described, you will survive..

...it just adds some salt&pepper to your experience

Also shields are not worth sacrificing for cargo space... ever.

I am not particularly interested in getting hijacked and I'm not so fussed about about being preached at. I blow up tanks when I want pew pew and I don't "take from the game" because that's not the game I'm playing. It might take from someone else's game if they can't do without other folks around but not mine. Thanks all the same. Nice saddles folks.

Ms G: I always run shields as there's never telling when some eejit in a Beluga decides suddenly appear in the mailslot.

If you don't want to learn how to trade in Open that's your business, but you are missing out on a lot of fun.

Hi Commanders,

just wanted to seek your views on the Imperial Cutter.

I own both a Conda and a Vette and while I have both the rank and credits to buy a Cutter I'm wondering whether there is any point in doing so.

I know the Cutter is very pretty but outside of the cargo capacity and decent thrusters I don't see a massive advantage (certainly for the money) of having a Cutter in my fleet.

Am I missing something?

I hear all Cutters come with a free Aisling!
