Fixed weapons do more damage than gimballed which do more damage than turrets.

But gimballed can give you more time on target so may do more damage overall.

Black market trading - easiest way is
1. Take a delivery mission from one faction somewhere you don't care about - or even better - actively dislike
2. Take those goods from that delivery mission - and sell them in a black market (as they would be considered stolen good) - NOTE: this obviously means you fail the delivery mission as a consequence, and may have to pay a penalty if that was mentioned in the mission

Repeat x5.

Low risk way and simple way to do your black market trading to get access to the engineer.

Only issue is - the faction who gave you the original missions may send bounty hunters after you.

Does it count if I destroy a wanted person and pick up the illicit cargo then sell that?

Any idea why my account could be wiped out of sudden on Xbox One? Let's say I'm not happy with that, like, a lot. I tried to restart my console a few times - no avail. Entire progress, ships, gone. I had to restart in a Sidewinder.

Best thing to do is contact Support on the off chance they can recover a previous file. It's a longshot but it's all you can do I'm afraid.

Yes. Or you can pick up some stolen cargo from a ship someone else killed. Some USS have illicit cargo drops you can sell at a BM.

I found a black market the next system over from a res site and bounty hunted until someone dropped stolen cargo. I scooped one or two and jumped to the BM immediately so I didn't get too much attention from the pirates. Then I found another BM for the next time.

Also: When you go to unlock Selene Jean you will have to do space mining. I'd recommend waiting until you have 10 million or so spare cash and buying and equipping a T-6 for mining. You don' t want to mine in your Asp then go bounty hunting with your mining laser.

If I can give a tip for Selene? Before you start, you'll want to have a small, fast, shielded ship able to store at least 10 cargo. Once you've done all your mining, sell everything but the Painite, switch to that ship and go to turn it in. It's a lot safer than doing it in a T-6.

Excellent tip there, Phelbore. Did that myself with a DD5'd Cobra. Brought an escort too, just in case.

A good pirate will be more like a surgeon...he will remove your shield and 1 or 2 modules..

Or she.

And that's not how we do it.

I have a bounty on my head want to pay it off can find where it says uzumeru netcoms incorporated went to uzumeru went to pay and nothing came up but I am still wanted. Help please need to lift bounty.!!

Currently, you cannot pay off bounties until they expire and turn into fines. Take a look at your Transactions tab, there will be a timer next to the bounty. When that runs out, the bounty entry will disappear from your Transactions and you can pay it off as a fine. Until then, you have to lay low when you go to Uzumeru.

You can pay off the fine in Uzumeru, or at any Interstellar Factor, which can be found in the Contacts menu of any station in a Low Security system. Interstellar Factors charge an additional 25% fee for the convenience though.

Use this chart for parsing how bounties and fines work (yes, it makes my head hurt too, I hate flow charts):
