StalkerMacHi All

Does anyone have a good blueprint for a Type 10 Defender kitted out for hitting the Thargoids? I have the type 10 and 1bil to spend on upgrades.

All the large AX multicanons and an AX fighter bay for the swarm, pretty much covers it. Healy beam turrets on the others if you're winging. And then hull tank it to high heaven with a bi-weave shield.

Another approach is class 7 prismatic and class 8 SCB. If you time it right, the SCB will be just about keeping your shields up when the Goid hits you with its yellow (snow) lightning. They also come back up while you're tanking. A class 8 SCB with no heat sink is also a great way to cook off caustic damage.

I had a very strange thought right now. I think that Frontier should get rights to include fragment of Space Oddity into ED and make it a tune that plays with 1:20 chance while using autodock.

Hyello commanders.

Would anyone be so kind and explain to me how to do the combat community goal in system HR 1185?
I'm a newbie and to my understanding to get Pilots Federation Combat Bonds I need to participate in fighting in conflict zones and choose a faction.
I did in a system nearby that is at war but couldn't get the right bonds for Indra station. I presume it's not about destroying the aliens ships too ( my cobra mk3 has no stand )

Thank you for any help and good luck among the stars.

Hi Cinema3, I can’t say for sure on the CG but in general your Cobra III will be fine in Resource sites for straight bounty hunting. CZ’s are a much tougher proposition and, even tanked, the Cobra is a bit too lightweight IMO.

Anyone know a quick easy way to make credits. I'm fairly new to elite

If you're new, wouldn't be wise to go for the quick score.

Get rich scheme's will do you no favors in the long run. Getting into larger ships without laying a firm foundation of skills from the smaller cheaper ships will ultimately end in expensive rebuys and frustration.

Not to mention there are people that enjoy hunting down novices in anacondas (or any of the other big 4) just to emphasize the point above.

Data delivery missions are a good non-exploitative way of building a credit balance for initial upgrades. You can accept a bunch of them and they don't take up cargo space. And when your cargo hold is empty, random NPC pirates "usually" won't hassle you. Then you can invest in a bigger ship with more cargo space or better weapons.

Unlike other games, it's not about levelling, it's about the voyage... many experienced with big ships, prefer the smaller ships because they give a different experience... no matter in combat or exploring

Seriously... enjoy the ride!

Like others have said, enjoy the ride. Buy yourself a Cobra. Store modules - cargo racks, weapons, discovery and surface scanners. Get an SRV bay. Swap those things out of it at will. Dabble in combat, dabble in trade, dabble in exploration. See the sights. Run the gauntlet at a CG in open play. Watch your sensors. Unlock engineers. Work on getting your ship tuned to your liking.

If you can do all that in a Cobra, you'll find yourself with a lot more than a few credits to spend on new ships. You'll have blazed a little trail of your own. Everything else is icing on the cake.

You know, it would be nice if you had the option to select a base as your "home" and that the controller would say "welcome home, commander" when you finish docking. It's a little thing, I know, but it would be nice.
