Just because said player is pledged to Patreus, doesn't mean that he acts in the interest of Patreus or the patreus-aligned groups.

As I've said, there is no mechanic to prevent an engagement.

It's likely the Commander that killed you pledged Patreus only for his special weapon, the Advanced Plasma Accelerator (this practice is commonly known as module shopping). Patreus also has a lot of enemies, so I doubt they'd hold off on nuking you for any reason.

Bottom line is this: you're pledged to a power and that puts a target on your back.

Having pledged the same power won't block players from attacking you. If they want to, they can. I know I'd shoot down a Mahon supporter if I caught them running around with a bounty on their head. I'd call it policing my own.

Ah, the number of powers I've "pledged" to, just for their cracker-jack prize. They can all burn into oblivion for all I care.

I tried to google this question and got 650k hits on nothing i asked specific. Does anyone know of which systems are connect all 3 powers?

Do you mean that you're looking for systems with Federation, Empire, and Alliance factions all in the same system? Because there's at least four near the Pleiades that are like that: Merope, Maia, HIP 17692, and HR 1185. The relevant factions are the Pleiades Resource Enterprise (Federal), Merope Expeditionary Fleet (Imperial), and Cooper Research Associates (Alliance).

On the topic of the Chieftain, I found it quite enjoyable! I fitted engineered modules from my gunship and FDS, and its a blast to fly! Its a bit slidey, but an occasional boost solves that, which I'd be doing anyway.

It turns on the spot, it has a huge dps potential and really good hardpoint locations, has a great jump range, and more than enough space for a combat ship, which is what it's listed as (i think). Its not a multiroles (i think),but it could potentially be.

Knowing that, it might make a good pyrate ship.

I thought the same. It also runs very cool from standard, which means using 3 rails on the small hard points and firing continuously is not a problem. Fixed weapons suit the large mounts very well and it's a stable platform for accurate fire.

It'll make a great silent running attack ship in a clean configuration.

I know you already got an answer but I thought I'd point out that since faction locations update daily and anywhere all 3 exist is likely to be heavily contested any search results you did find will go out of date quickly.

Either it's something about my joystick, or the fact you have engineered modules, but I don't see the turn-on-a-dime. Not at all. For me any lateral turn (via yaw) is sllllloooooowwwww.

Strangely enough, Pleiades systems are relatively stable, in that there's not very much in the way of Retreat statuses.
