If you want to make some more exploration moolah once you're back in the bubble I really recommend the Road to Riches. Depending on your speed you can get about 10mil an hour.

Had a brief look over the new engineering system that we'll get with the update. Looks like a real improvement and i'm all for it. However, i was a bit unclear as to the specifics. Specifics such as, during or after the update am i going to have all my modules reset and thus having to start over upgrading them from the scratch? Or is it just an interface update?

What i'm asking is this: are my module modifications going to be reset or will they stay as they are now? Cuz i rly rly RLY don't want to start over from 0 after months of work.

That's all that i need to have clarified. If anybody knows the answer to that, lemme know. Cheers.

@Septimus Raven

Current engineering modules will remain the same and be grandfathered in to the new system. Original plans were for existing high end G5 upgrades to be comparable to new G4 mods, but i don't know where all engineering mods currently stand in that regard. During the beta there was a lot of uproar over unbalanced G5 god rolls compared to maxed G5 rolls in the new system and that the grandfathered god rolls would be better than anything available in the new system, some adjustments were made to a lot of modules and i think most have been resolved.

So any modules you have already engineered will remain engineered and can be modified from their current position to a higher value where possible.

*rubs hands* Eeexcellent. I engineered a couple modules for an FDL, Python, and Asp Scout I don't currently own yet, good to see my time wasn't wasted. Nothing god-rolled, just tweaked enough to make them useful.

Don't know about anyone else but I haven't seen much point in doing anything since the beta closed.

All I've done is scoop up Galvanising Alloys and Atypical Disrupted Wake Echoes ready for a lengthy stay at Farseer Inc.

Let's hope the required components are the same as they were in the first beta, before they were changed to '1 x Iron' or I'll be driving round looking for Mats Traders.

Looking forward to planets looking more like planets.

I have to admit, I felt the same way for about that long. But I realized two things: 1) In order to take advantage of the new engineering process I'd need to leave Colonia for the Core and 2) in order to buy the best modules to BE engineered I needed to earn more money between now and launch of 3.0. So, I'm about 1/3 of the way back to the Core systems and I'm picking up a fair amount of credits with exploration data along the way (selling it at the stations along the path as I go).

Seeing the jump-range increase I got during the beta, I'm going the other way.

Hanging round for the Re-Engineering then heading out Formidine Rift way.

Meanwhile, I've been increasing my Combat percentage by about half-a-percent (wow) every evening and a whole percent (double-wow) on Saturdays and Sundays.

I don't like combat much. Somehow, I'll have to to get to Maia without tripping over any angry Daisies.

StalkerMacFDEV just announced 3.0 will be launched on the 27 th.

I really hope it doesn't kill PVP like everyone in the PVP community thinks it will.

I promise that PvP will be alive and well.

I agree with Matt's sentiment.  Got no real concerns.

Same here, will just have to see how things pan out in the bigger picture over the next 3 updates

I for one predict the same ol', same ol'.

People will still still lose at asymmetrical PvP and whine.

PvPers will accept the added cost of doing business and push forward.

I´ll never understand the whiners anyways. You can´t always win a game since playing means loosing. For me getting pwned by a good player is just another challenge I can try to overcome. Either I manage or I accept my personal skill just isn´t enough and move on. Simple as that.

Although I strongly suspect there will also be a fair few PvPers who fail to adapt and have a good whine about it!

The old Spanish proverb applies here, as it does to all things:

"Take what you want, and pay for it."

All I'm currently concern is PVE, cause I already made myself some progress to not to die in Combat Zones and it would be a bummer if they made it even harder than it is. I still sometimes leave with 5% hull at times. Oddly enough, I realized that the other NPCs - even if they are busy with way bigger preys - sometimes immediately pick on me, forcing me to leave.

All tips in regard to staying on the edge of CZ are, of course, taken into account all the times. But sometimes it is truly annoying when three NPCs jump on you out of sudden.

I'd love them to make combat zones, and NPCs in general, harder.

TThey are already way too hard in my opinion. You can be killed in less than thirty seconds using fully outfitted Viper Mk IV, even if you spent plenty of time in-game training strafing. In RES, here's no issues. But CZ are a true hell.

Unless you meant making NPCs harder BUT with considerable bounty adjustment. I still remember when I went through hell with one Master NPC only to get 13k bounty.

If you keep practising, you will get better.

I promise
