SirGamblerNever to question anyones expertice,or beeing verbaly insulting,quite opposite if u know me

This is the internet. Assume that no one knows you, because we don't! Do you know me? It would be incredibly creepy if you did, just saying. Type what you mean and mean what you type.

SirGambleryou going Nuclear in the middle off it all

She wasn't being insulting. Her first post in the thread was two counter questions for more information, no mention if it being stupid. Hell, she may have loved the idea with more detail! The second post was her being direct. To quote you again: "if u know me", again you don't know her, so Let me inform you that this is nowhere near "nuclear" for her. I have personally been on the receiving end of that barrage.

As a side note SirGambler, I would proof read your posts before you hit the submit button. This is not intended as a slight or an insult, as I don't know if english is your first language.

However, if you were typing in a huff to the perceived insult, I would suggest calming down before you go all Ragey McTypecrap. You'll find life is much better that way.

Then again, I only come out to do such posts... so I guess I'm a hypocrite! Well, last least I know what I am. Ha ha ha ha!

SirGambler, stop projecting.

SirGamblerPoint taken...sorry too you all...

The point is to learn from the experience and come back a better person. Just remember, the world (or in this case: galaxy) is full of people who made mistakes and then came back stronger by admitting and correcting their mistake. Such people are to be respected.

I hope this will be the case.

@SirGambler
I feel my idea was somewhat misinterpreted. My idea was that Planetary Vehicle Hangars would give as much cargo space as much cargo you can take with each SRV. In case of one storing only one SRV = 2 cargo space. In case of a hangar for two SRVs = 4 cargo space. And so on.

That's how I (finally) explained it in PM to our wonderful Fuel Rats lady.

See, that's an idea that makes logical sense. However, for game balancing, I don't know if it will be implemented. But yeah, you can always post to Frontier's Forums on their suggestions forum.

VingtetunFor fans of Elite Dangerous and gaming, the Elite Community Meet 2018 is heading to Reading on the 14th April.

Run by the community (not for profit) and raising funds for SpecialEffect and Hearing Dogs, this is its 4th year. Last year 138 gamers descended on Bristol for a day of gaming, VR, socialising and fun. 42 places already gone at this year's one!

We had HTC Vive and Oculus Rift to try, space to bring a PC and get down to some games, board games, a charity raffle and a live stage performance from Hutton Orbital Radio and the Pixel Bandits. There was an Artemis bridge simulator for crews to try their hand at and even a few of the cast of Echoes from the Hold and the voice packs. OK, it was Cecil.

This year we are adding in an ED:RPG session from Spidermind games and much more. This is a day dedicated to DOING gaming and meeting fellow commanders.

Details available at http://elitemeet.info

Breaking Bonus News: Sunday 15th we are holding a Hutton Pizzameet for lunch at the Pizza Express in Reading where the manager and head chef will be attempting to teach 50+people how to properly toss pizzas.

Double breaking news - 28 standard rooms, 69 deluxe left if you're stopping at the Hotel

Triple breaking news: We also have a little social gathering in Portland, Oregon on the 17th March if any American commanders want to come and meet fellow pilots.

You guys should totally make everyone walk 6 miles on a treadmill before they can enter the Pizza Express.

We will certainly need it after.....

I thought about this a while back and I saw two flaws in the idea and scrapped it as way too much effort for so little gained (as E:D stands currently),

1. Currently in order to exchange modules e.g. a Cargo Rack module to say a Hull Reinforcement Plating (HRP) module then if the Cargo Rack has any cargo in it then it cannot be exchanged until the cargo is removed. this would be the true for the Planetary Vehicle Hangar (PVH) module.

2. Say you are carrying cargo for a mission and in order to accept the mission you needed to include your SRV cargo rack for enough capacity to take it and you drop down to the surface of a planet en route to grab some mats and happen to lose your SRV to combat or terrain mishap. now not only have you lost your SRV but you can no longer complete your mission.

Okay so now number 1. could be fixed by FDev, allowing you to sell or jettison the cargo at the point of transfer or sale of your PVH or Cargo Rack. However no 2 is not so easily solved, the only possibility I can see is for FDev to Exclude SRV Cargo Racks from the capacity calculation for mission cargo but i can't see them doing that as it just complicates things.

But hey if you think it can get traction chuck it at FDev and see what happens o7

To any and all experienced commanders out there...the age old dumb-fire abuse of settlements is coming to an end.

Imagine my surprise when my missile was swarmed by a number of ground-based intercept-capable rockets, blowing it out of the air before it could reach its target.

Anyone else had the pleasure?

its been like that at higher security bases for a while i think. either use a different weapon to take out the turrets or get closer to the base. if your close enough you can blow up those defense turrets with dumbfires before they have the chance to shoot back

Silas Kruge

Well, in my book logging out of the game during combat whether it is to the main menu or shutting down the game IS combat logging if the purpose is to avoid the end result of said combat.

Agreed. I understand nuance and subtlety are dead in 2018 (where generalization is more important than critical thought), but combat logging is one concept that shouldn't be parsed into overy meticulous subsets. Let's get Boolean on clogging:

IF you log into order to avoid a rebuy due to the actions of another CMDR;
THEN you are a dirty filthy clogger and should be laughed at and ridiculed;
ELSE you are being a good steward of a cooperative experience.
