HumpsterNotoriety not decreasing as intended. . . . Notoriety at 6 and been logged in for over 12 hours in open with not a single digit decrease. Is there anyway I can shake this off as its killing the game-play for me. I have logged with many others as a bug on the Frontier official forum. If i fly back to Zachary Hudson space and get killed will it reset?

H mate now down to one, the time period does not seem to be right certainly more than 2 hours but it feels like it varies.  Guess it must need a fix as over on main forums other having same issue. Main thing i guess is not to kill non wanted ships either npc or player controlled

Hey.
Thanks for the progress report. Glad to know it is addressed. Fly safe(er)

Run through this checklist:

  1. Are there empty bottles / cans around my desk?
  2. Is there any burned foil / glass pipes around my desk?
  3. Am I sharing my account with anyone else?
  4. Have I checked the Galaxy Map screen with the My Ships icons activated?

If you can answer Yes to any of those, you will have found the problem, if not your ship.

Finally decreased to zero i would estimate 3-4 hours open gameplay in between, then could not pay off bounty at  IF as it was in red. Logged in and out and that enabled me to pay it. Still got a Zach Hudson bounty that can find no way of paying off.

Nevermind that - find out what happened to your last ship first before you go losing another one.

Check the ship transfer tab in the shipyard menu, it will tell you where your ships are located. When you transfer to a different ship in the shipyard, you have the option of selling it as well. If it's not on the transfer tab, then it's likely you accidentally sold it. And no, there is no buy back program, so if you sold it then you have to build it back up from scratch.

If you look at your activity on inara it shows that you bought and sold the ship on February 27th

Those are manual edits - he's on PS4. If he's selling his ships, logging it on Inara and then completely blanking it out, he's got problems we can't help him with, sadly.

I hope he finds his ship

Isaiah Evanson
James Hussar
Isaiah EvansonThe simplest way to determine if you're a slave or not is to ask two questions.

1. Do they have power over you?
2. Would they compel you to obey them against your will?

Governments, priests, emperors, presidents, senators, gods... all claim authority. Disobey them and see what they do. You'll find none of them will let you choose your own path.

A happy slave is still a slave.

ED aside, this is a question plaguing the first world today, isn't it? If you pay taxes, are you 'Free"? If they can jail you for not paying taxes, are you "free"? That way lies libertarianism, anarchism, subsistence farming on Federal land, and *gasp* a voluntary commune full of Ayn Rand fanbois. We come together into communities and societies, giving up some personal sovereignty in exchange for doing together what we cannot do independently. If the idea that you are completely self-reliant didn't flee your brain the first time you paid money for a thing you wanted but could not get by first creating your own dirt, you're stunted.

"A rational anarchist believes that concepts such as "state" and "society" and "government" have no existence save as physically exemplified in the acts of self-responsible individuals. He believes that it is impossible to shift blame, share blame, distribute blame. . . as blame, guilt, responsibility are matters taking place inside human beings singly and nowhere else. But being rational, he knows that not all individuals hold his evaluations, so he tries to live perfectly in an imperfect world. . . aware that his effort will be less than perfect yet undismayed by self-knowledge of self-failure." - Heinlein

Happy to be an anarchist.

I love Heinlein's work, despite reports that he was an ass of a person.

That quote seems very convenient. Basically, I uphold these anarchist principles whenever I can, but compromise on them when it suits me because I have to live in a reality that demands respect for views other than my own. Sounds a bit like hypocrisy. Virtue is only virtue in extremis. If you set aside your virtues in times when to keep them would be inconvenient, they're not virtues but hobbies.

Compromise is a requirement of existence in a society.

In fairness, part of the point of being a rational anarchist in the first place is to not be wedded to any one moralistic viewpoint that both stunts your growth and encourages you to build your own cage.

I meant what I said. Autocrats love demanding perfection from those below them without recognizing their own failings.

In other words, show me a human and I’ll show you a hypocrite.
