Got puilled out by 3 thargroids

As i see them on the map closer and closer... at what time intervals do they attack new stations ? ( so i can unlock all engineers i need and high tail for colonia in time ).
Do they attack only if provoked or anybody ?
If they attack, what should i do ?
I haven't even seen a thargoid ship yet but i would like to be preparedin advance if i gett attacked or something xD

Individual thargoids usually leave you alone unless you mess with them, or have special thargoid junk in your cargo. If you're worried, just bring some occupied escape pods to feed them and keep the lot docile! If they attack, you should run.

Every new cycle (once a week, every thursday), usually 2 new stations show up as attacked.

They attack every server cycle (thursday). Try not to provoke them unless you want to engage them. If you wanna shoot them, and looking for a wingmate, contact me (either in-game (Tictac) or by private message )

Ship: Cleaned up nicely at an IF facility. All looks good.
Modules: Still dirty after cleaning my explorer at an IF facility. All of them, from the Planetary Landing Package on through to the last Core and Optional module.
You can't store off the PLM and selling it is forever. Any of the other modules if stored off and cleaned flip back to dirty when re-installed.
Suggestions?.
