Septimus Ravenanyone trying to hurt anyone else now will get rekt by epic police with very little chances of escape. Deal?

Sorry buddy, but only the scrubs are gonna get wrecked by the new C&P system. The pros are already dealing with it masterfully.
03 Mar 2018, 4:22am
The C&P system has been a good source of lulz. All the people saying "lawl this will stop teh greefurs!" are now throwing their toys out of the cot because they realized that the C&P system affects them too.

Yup.  Saw my first thread on FF where a Cutter pilot was complaining about getting nuked by ATR. Warmed the soul.

Phisto SobaniiYup.  Saw my first thread on FF where a Cutter pilot was complaining about getting nuked by ATR. Warmed the soul.

Let me guess, he smashed a smaller player coming out of the slot?
03 Mar 2018, 4:37am
No, he was killing NPCs illegally and then ATR showed up to give him the business. He hadn't been keeping very close tabs on the upcoming 3.0 changes, it seems.

To say nothing of the abundance of "damn NPC threw itself on mah gunz and now I'm being treated like a common criminal" posts. Mostly, if not exclusively, from people who seem to hace an allergy to the phrase 'trigger discipline' too.

Whiplash 1983(Got my little confusion sorted)

"... confounded me long enough.
Why do ship-consoles display (sometimes) Coriolis station puppets with darts on their sides?"

System navigation targeted, Gray/White Puppet with no port entrance locator dart markers displayed.
-
Local targeted (affter drop) (Weapons style lock-on), Orange/Highlight puppet showing port entrance locator dart markers.

Coriolis (Dodo) stations only.

When you drop out of super cruise at a Coriolis station, then target the thing, the holo-figure "puppet" will show arrows pointing to the entrance.

However, if you're savvy you'll notice that all rotating space stations follow the "right hand" rule. With your right hand, curl your fingers in the direction it is rotating, and where your thumb sticks out is where the entrance is.

I hope this helps.

I love the right hand rule. Just saw it this morning on Ghost Giraffes's youtube channel and it cracked me up.

There are also (often? usually?) lights on the apexes of the front and back walls of the station - rear is red, front is white.

What is the fastest way to get permits? Specifically a Sol permit would be cool.
03 Mar 2018, 5:42am
To get the Sol permit you need to do lots of missions for Federation factions. Find a system in Federation space that has lots of Federation factions and do lots of missions for them. You will eventually get 100% progress to the next rank and you will find a naval promotion mission. It will say Naval in the title. Do it and get promoted. If you don't see a promotion mission keep doing Federation faction missions and it will show up and any missions completed at 100% will count towards the next rank. You need to get Petty Officer to get the Sol permit.

M. LehmanTo refrain from further indulgences in armchair psychology would also be appriciated. Mental illness and real-life morality aren't determined by one's behavior in a video game.

Thank you.

Furthermore (pet peeve), mental illnesses are illnesses and it's small-minded to conflate involuntary sickness with either deliberate or careless nastiness to others. I know plenty of people who struggle with and suffer from everything from mild depression to severe personality disorders, schizophrenia, PTSD, etc, etc. Those who are diagnosed and in treatment tend to be very gentle and mindful of how they treat others because they know that their own minds cannot be trusted to behave appropriately. We should no more mix them with assholes than we would kids with cancer or ALS. None asked for their affliction.

Side note: If you want to see some awesome humane work, check out @specialeffect on Twitter. They're an organization that works on making video games accessible for disabled people, children in particular. They recently worked with Fdev on a few things, and it was really outstanding stuff.

It's convenient to use ablist language and mental conditions as a pejorative, but it's really unjust. I know two genuine, diagnosed sociopaths. Both are horrified by their conditions, and the way they can sometimes behave as a result. They lack the capacity for empathy and compassion, but this does not make them evil or immoral. On the contrary, they compensate by very thoroughly thinking through their words and actions; in a way not unlike the way blind people compensate by over-developing their other senses. The assholes we run into in games are healthy, and simply mean, inconsiderate and immature. I wouldn't even call them "sadistic", because there are plenty of self-aware sadists out there who check their motives against what is acceptable and consented to by the people with whom they explore these.

Shifter Zero
. . . . . Nope, ive done several wing missions with my group. if the reward is X amount everyone gets X amount each

You're right. I stand corrected. Pretty amazing the ticket simply says "Oh, three of you? Ok I'll triple the payout."
Pretty sweet deal to say the least.

So has every wing member have to fly a piece of cargo to get the rewards or could he just sit in station while others do the haul?
