personally i think both the gauss cannons and plasma charges are better than even engineered rails and PA's (medium). im liking them a lot so far.

and 3 more damage is a lot considering we're comparing a medium and a large weapon. with the heat and distributor draw, having 2 PCs IMO is much better than 1 large PA.

in addition to that they absolutely rape thargoids. 1 hit from 2 gauss cannons brings a cyclops heart down to 8% from 100%!

Really? Not bad! Have you tried the turret version yet?

And i think my favourite thing about the plasma chargers has to be the insane explosion they produce. Thats one sizable kaboom
I fitted 4 of them to my FDL, hunting last night was a blast

yes that explosion is one of the greatest weapon animations ive seen! i havent tried the turreted ones, but they only work as turrets in multicrew. im not sure if they do less damage or not. if they do id say theyre not worth it over the fixed ones

Awww, that's a bit shit... Probably for the best though, turreted plasma would be a but OP without multicrew.

is anyone else having an issue with transferring guardian artefacts from SRV to ship. Every time I do this the game crashes and I restart in an SRV with no ship necessitating another reload without Horizons then another one with and then having to land again.

Are you doing it by doing the Transfer Cargo on the Role Panel? If so, try by just boarding your ship. Or do the opposite, try from the Transfer Cargo on the Role panel if Boarding Crashes you

This was a bug when Horizons first hit with all canisters. We found doing the Board Ship kept it from crashing.

Thanks for getting back to me, both methods result in being booted out of game, the only silver lining is that the artefacts still appear in the ships cargo bay when all the faffing around is over.

Bug report it then.

Random Chaos
PhelboreThere's nothing stopping you from doing a wing mission by yourself. It might take longer than the short periods you have to play tho.

Except the part where you're getting paid 1 person's wage for 4 people's work.  The prices offered for wing missions are not an effective return on time invested if you attempt to solo them.

I've started two threads on the FD forums asking for wing missions to be put in a separate section, like passenger missions already are, for that reason - and that they're a special interest item you don't want crowding out the main mission board.

I don't understand. It's my understanding that wing missions pay a proportion so if you do 100% of the work you get 100% of the pay. Or are you saying that, for instance, deliver 2,00 units pays less than 4 combined deliver 500 unit missions?

wing missions have a fixed payout just like solo missions. if the reward is 5 million. everyone in the wing missions gets 5 million whether they participated or not

I think it's an even split between participants accepting the invite. (correct me if i'm wrong on that).
- (also) All participating wing members must travel to the mission payout location to collect, whether they helped or not .  No remote location wire fund transfer. To bad eh?

And this has confounded me long enough.

Why do some ship console puppets of the Coriolis stations have those arrow like darts on their sides pointing to the station port opening, and other Coriolis stations puppets do not? Is there something different about those stations?

Basic question first: are you targeting the starport each time?
02 Mar 2018, 6:30pm
Generally when I am approaching a station it is by way of my navigation targeting. I will see what happens with local in-range targeting on and off. Seems I've tried that though before and it made no difference. Some have the darts, others don't.

I'll keep looking at the targeting options to see.

I can't say I recall seeing one without them. If you give a system/station name I'd go look when I get home.

Are they Coriolis stations with the extra arms? Some have 2, and one has 4, but the system it's in escapes me.
