M. LehmanMy question is: why have these bots fly in open?


Not only that, but why is there a massive bot spread in this game? I've seen bots on many mmorpgs where you can turn items into real money profit, but in Elite, it makes no sense other than for personal amusement. And even for that, this sounds like a lot of commitment.

I respect the boss level of pettiness that BGS-ruiner bots take to write and deploy.

Brynhild HervorsdottirI've spent the last few hours re-engineering my ships to the new standards and was pleased to see all of them improved significantly. Now they've been put to bed till I can again access them, perhaps only a week, probably more than six months from now.

And now I'll spend the last few hours of freedom I have left de-stressing my dog and wondering when, now that I'm 38 years old, I can once again have a normal life.


I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but "normal" is what people tell themselves other people are. There is no such thing.

I question how wide spread the bot issue is. Like it was mentioned earlier, what do they really gain? Considering the ships had insulting names, seems to me you've gotta really have a bone to pick to script this kind of thing.

I'm sure that he made a video where he took ten hemming-and-hawing minutes to say something that should have taken fourty-five seconds.

Why dont we all get a script like that and bot-grind,and we dont have to play the game.....pointless if its generally accepted....it sounds like the oldschool cheatcode "unlimited money",and is cheating,onely unfair when it makes conflict with open play,me and you!!sounds like Qualiy time,huh...I belive its not good for the game,whats next?So we all play solo and get bored on crappy stuff and the game reaches a alltime low on players before next x-mas.Old online games like Travian,u lost account even on lesser stuff,and ED is just a "bit moore" graphic game.....its a Game.  

so are Frontiers attention gona be busy with crap like this instead of improving.Hope a you all can play the game like it is,and improvements comes from Frontier or through suggestions.....hmmm.

Best part of that? Him saying it's super easy to find evidence of all the scripts and bots and then several posts of people saying, 'Nope, can't find anything.'

All fun and games till one's home system becomes a target to bots that are apparently not a concern.
