Tigon OlogdringSadly I can't suss out a way to get my XBox Live screen grabs into Inara using an iPad otherwise I'd post a couple of shots of the Eagle Eye installations I came across yesterday. Seems that they're large scientific installations but I was blissfully unaware of them until coming across two on Friday whilst catching up on some exploration revisits I'd noted down last summer... And then the newsletter came out and explanations became clearer.
Well worth a visit, if for nothing other than the jolt upon dropping into normal space and getting a face full of installation. It's like the good old days of dropping into the back of an Orbis, only MUCH bigger and scarier. Actually I'm not sure just how big they are but they're much, much bigger than outposts and flying in up close in the DBX they felt bigger than an Ocellus or Orbis. Real Glitterbelt stuff. HIP19672 for Eagle Eye One IIRC (also worth 1.5+MCr in scan data IIRC).
If you got a phone Xbox pics can be pulled into the gallery through the Xbox app

Warning:
On approach to one of the guardian sites Glide did not cut out resulting in a crash landing. Area had green haze around the site I have no seen before. Later ship would not recall and I was forced to self-destruct. Returning to Bubble.

I want to get a Federal Gunship, what is the fastest way to gain ranks to achieve this goal?

LordPsymonPretty sure you can access them on the Xbox app for Windows 10 now as well.
LordPsymon is right. It's a very useful way of grabbing screenshots, recordings, etc. So if you have access to a Win10 system, give the app a try.

I want to get a Federal Gunship, what is the fastest way to gain ranks to achieve this goal?
Find a minor faction aligned with the Federation, run missions for them and them and select the higher influence and reputation reward.

Thank you CMDR, I have started to gain some ranks now, I was sitting on 100% but could not find any rank up missions

Zaela RadecAnyone want to join me in organizing a flight to V1357 Cygni to honor the late Dr. Hawking? In addition to the system being immortalized in a fantastic song, it was the source of a friendly wager between Dr. Hawking and another physicist, with Hawking betting the X-rays coming from the system weren't related to a black hole. Hawking rather amusingly admitted that he got that one wrong, but said that he hoped one day we could lay eyes on the system up close to see if there is a black hole or not. Well, we can't do that yet, but we can give the man who did so much for science over the past seventy six years, a fitting tribute.
