You can harvest them from Barnacle sites out in the Pleiades systems. Give a little google for Elite dangerous Barnacle Sites and take your pick. You'll need an SRV and a ship with a fairly decent jump range and fuel scoop. Happy hunting!

This is the relevant link for a list of Barnacle locations (and other things).
You can also buy Meta-Alloys from the Darnielle's Progress surface port in the Maia system. Average price tops 100,000 credits per unit.

Reverbating cascade damages the shield generator on impact and should have an effect each time it hits, no idea whether there's a difference between C1 and C2 torps though.

Rebecca HailTransport ships means hauling vessels, as you said.

I only had enough materials to get to grade 3. I wonder if grade 5 amplifies the effect.

Grade 3 is considered most efficient, grade 4 and 5 have greater impact, positively but as well negatively, i.e. risks become bigger, with more rare materials

I'm talking about the hardpoint size.

Rebecca HailI'm not talking about the grade of the upgrade. Torps only have sturdy and ligthweight anyways.
I'm talking about the hardpoint size.
It’s my understanding that you just get an extra round with the larger hardpoint size. Fires the same size torps.

Rebecca HailI'm not talking about the grade of the upgrade. Torps only have sturdy and ligthweight anyways.Sometimes I think that's what gets a bit confusing (probably more so for nubes) is the mixing of terminology. "Size", "Class", "Grade". And then you add the whole engineering terminology.

BrowningHipower7Also, does anyone know if reverberating cascade on torpedos is a guaranteed effect or is it more a roll of the dice. I just hit a dangerous anaconda with two and it didn’t do anything to the shields. A few weeks ago, a griefer hit my vette with one and brought my full shields down...and they are grade 5 engineered with engineered heavy duty boosters.
You can try to counter this by having your shields G5 thermal resistant mod. Not only does it increase thermal resistance and in so doing partially solves higher end limitations that shields have vs thermal weapons, but it also increases the module's hitpoints. And it does all that with a small decrease in kinetic resist. It's worth looking into is what i'm trying to say. I got quite a decent roll a while ago, and for just 10% decrease in kinetic resist, i got a whole bunch of positive stats, including a huge thermal resist boost and module hp increase (dunno right now how much 7A shields had before but now they have 204 hp; highest hp value module installed in my ship atm)

Something like that...
Before, i had G5 Reinforced, and it was a good roll too. Reason i went with thermal and threw away a good reinforced roll was thanks to a cheeky cobra mk 3 with no shields and a ton of reverberating cascade mines. Loved it...
Anyway, long story short, the fact that my shield generator just went a died on me like that, persuaded me that maybe is not such a bad idea to give thermal mod a shot. Hope this helped. Cheers
