Draxxa KirethWeener101I think that's a bit out my price range at the moment for a mac
the fact that you can play elite with a 6 year old portable computer, says a couple of things
Is this really necessary? Not everyone has money to burn, and even those who do may choose to spend their on other things. Why don't you donate some cash to the site, or stuff it.

Money to burn? Money to burn? If I had money to burn, i would buy a computer every 2 years
I was responding to this...
Weener101Also I'm on PS4 elite dangerous I have it on pc but my laptop struggle to run on the hunt for a good pc XD
- divided over 6 years, it's really cheap....so the question would be short-term cheap or long term cheap...
- it also means you don't need the latest of the latest...elite is playable on older computers....
- it probably has to do that the laptop needs to be fresh installed....since you can run it on other 6 year old laptops

Amusing.
I have an Alienware 17 R1 with dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M in SLI - 1024 MB, and E:D Horizons reports it as below minimum speck for graphics capabilities and won't even complete the install. There are no upgrade options beyond the currently installed two GTX 280M's for the R1 and it cost 4.5 grand. I don't use it and it sits in the box. Interested?
P.S. My timing on purchases has always been as bad as my insights on shopping choices. The I-Core processors came out 6 months later.

Weener101Can anybody help?
Basically I'm confused by all the weapon grades and classes. I currently own two ships my main an aspx. I want to have my load out as this follows
Medium multi cannons
2x small beam lasers and 2x cannons (I put the cannons in the same fire group as the multi cannons very effective)
My actuall question is what's the best beam laser grade and cannon grade I can get for small hard points?
And what's the best grade multi cannons I can get fro my medium hard points

Sadly, one can't realistically hold off on PC part purchases in fear that something better will come along shortly after. If you did, you'd never buy anything at all!

All too true, as is the fact that when you do buy it’ll be overtaken in months!

Hence why I don't buy me a new computer unless at least 5 years have passed. Or the thing broke down, whatever comes first.

That's why I have Xbox One S. After ten years, it's pretty unlikely I'll change the PC but then I'm very resistant to get a PC "for gaming", knowing it may be obsolete after even a year. Not to mention if you buy the wrong item and may be not entirely compatibile with rest of your PC (technical issues, glitches) - you are pretty much screwed.
I got Xbox One S, because for the same money I saved for a year now, I'd get PC that wouldn't even run Battlefield 4.

Aha! Yeah I know that feeling! I've only just bought a GTX 1080, and it looks like it'll be overtaken by the time summer hits in. However I don't regret it. I was using a GTX 770, and it was starting to lag behind. the 1080 will last me a good few years, even if there are better cards available.
As for my processor though... I have no clue when I'll be able to upgrade that, I think that'll need to come with a new motherboard, and as a result, a new PC.
