Brynhild Hervorsdottir8 years ago I went to this concert headlined by Evanescence, I don't even remember why because I don't particularly like Evanescence. If they show up on the radio then I'm not going to angrily change the channel, but it's not anything I'd listen to on purpose.

Anyhoo.

Amy Lee comes out alone for her encore, and there's always that one guy that yells out "Free Bird!!!!" Amy Lee is a decent piano player, so she plays the piano opening of "Free Bird", then stops and quips, "No, I'm cool but I'm not that cool."

Then there was this time I saw the Steve Miller Band for free at the beach, and he comes back out for his encore. He starts asking for requests and some guy up front yells out "Free Bird!!!!!". Steve Miller scowls and says "No, not that one."


Every goddamn concert. No, wait - I think I've been to exactly 1 concert (Neurosis/Amenra) where some dipshit didn't yell "Free Bird" at some point.

Norwegian Black Metal recorded in frost ridden forests is the most tr00, the most kvlt, the most grymm.

I was a teenager once, and thought that was the coolest thing out. I still enjoy various black metal acts now though, I'm just a little less edgy about it now.

Luxury lad. When I was a teenager, we played the very first Elite game on an Acorn computer. It was in black and white, wire-frame only, and took an hour to load from an actual C90 tape you played on an old tape recorder plugged into your computer. We also walked uphill, both ways, through frost ridden forests to record our Metal music.

The Enigma Expedition was a journey that started on 12-1-3304 and went from Jackson's Lighthouse to Colonia. It's purpose was to follow and assist Cmdr DoveEnigma13, a terminally ill Cmdr on his last, epic voyage. Despite setbacks (Artefact Bombing of the final destination, health issues, breakdowns etc etc) it was successfully concluded on 11-2-3304. Kongratulations to the 353 Cmdrs completing it

Aah, wire frame Elite, and loading it twice because the tape went funny first time. Then I stopped walking to the woods for Metal, and starting getting lifts to them for raves. The next thing I knew it was all Doom and Quake. It was a long wait indeed to come home!

Yeah absolutely I've been doing a lot more research on things like this that frontier has done and it's beautiful man.
