Ds2001sAnyone got any advice on rank grinding for the fed navy?

My hint would be Fusang (don't confuse it with Fousang) for grinding the Fed rank. Cleve's Vision is pretty close to the RES sites owned by pro-Fed Liberals of Fusang and usually that base offers plenty of Data Delivery missions. It used to offer a lot of planet-side data recovery missions as well for 1-3 million (with new rewards system it's likely to be a lot of REP/INF instead of credits), but I am not sure about now.

Greetings Commanders, blooming not too far away from your last topic of conversation, I'm looking for your good advice on any efficient way into getting along with the Empire. For full disclosure's sake, I'd love to get my hands on an Imperial Cutter. Empire rank grinding doesn't feel as well covered by our most traditional medias and I have yet to discover how to poke the Space Lion properly. Cheers!

My current ship is The Federal Dropship, which I bought with my earnings from this route. I have three Economy Passenger cabins (16, 8, 4) and I'm still able to have a large cargo hold (64), but my priority is always the data on the computer missions as they will frequently pay a bonus for a quick turnaround. I certainly feel that having cargo in the hold you are more likely to be interdicted but I always look for the full twenty missions.

If you have the time, I suggest the trip between Fairbairn Enterprise in the 63 Geminorum System and Whitson Platform or Birkeland Dock in the BD+27 1356 System - most of the profitable trips are heading into Fairbairn Enterprise - it's a grind. You can take 20 missions of data on your computer. There are many paying 848,088 credits at a time, and I have also picked up Economy Passengers paying between 2M up to 10M credits for the trip into Fairbairn Enterprise. A recent spout of eight interdictions cost me 35M in lost passenger revenue, but you keep the data on your computer. Bear in mind, with interdiction there will be the replacement ship costs if you can't compete with an NPC flying an Anaconda. However, my average payout has been 22M credits per trip into Fairbairn Enterprise and 250k into Whitson Platform. The more trips you do the quicker your reputation improves, rising quickly to Allied 100% score. Your rank with the Federation also improves with each trip, boosted by the Federal Navy Missions that will appear. Very quickly went from Ensign with 48M credits to Admiral with 988M credits.

Good luck with your progress.

What ship were you using for this? I've jumped a few ranks in a day doing the Sothis method by my credit gain was lacklustre. I need the credit boost!

Hello Menthane,

For Empire rank I suggest Mainani <> Ngalinn, no large pad, small to medium ship only.

RenraikuHmm. it may be Allied that's required, either way you will actually receive an Invitation in your comms panel.

Once you receive the Invitation you may need to relog for access to be updated, sometimes these things are fickle.

They must be different Markets not just between two stations as far as I am aware.

I believe there's a mission you have to accept for the invite.

I actually JUST finished the grind to Rear Admiral (so I'd have the option to buy a Corvette). Took me about four evenings, grinding between a handful of systems starting with Zhana. Mostly data courier missions, a handful of black box jobs. I broke the monotony by jumping into a ringed planet w/high resource to do a little bounty hunting. I was flying my Chieftain (a ship no larger than medium platform is a must).

FYI: The bonus thing did not (!) apply grade 4 mats to grade 5. It demands COMPLETELY DIFFERENT mats than in the blueprint. Complete fail on that.

They use one less rarity grade for each material, so the recipes are all different but yes gr4 for gr5. Frustrating.

Materials for G5 Efficient PA is incorrect. Selenium is listed instead of manganese.
